Ch.30 A Deal With the Devil

"James! Stay with me I am directing all of your magical power to heal your wounds" Sera voice calls out but it sounds distant and muffled to James. Time begins to slow down as the slow realization of his hits him.

"Dammit! I don't want to die like this. I still want to go on more adventures with everyone else. I still haven't told Aria how I felt. Gods I am stupid. I should have been nicer. The prophecy I need to complete it right?" James thinks as tears run down his face and out of the god slayer armor, but the tears evaporate as they come into contact with a spear of light. He stands there impaled multiple spears of light. He begins to lose his conscious slowly like his blood. "I don't want to die" James whimpers.

Then a sinister but familiar voice says, "How's it going, nephew. It looks like you're  impaled a little." Zeren says stepping out of a shadow causing James to realize why time was slowing down from his point of view.

"Go fuck yourself," James says choking on his own blood and tears streaming down his face.

Zeren backhands James then says, "Watch your mouth boy. No one talks to me in that manner. But I will forgive you if you do a little favor for me. You see there has been a little uprising in good ole down under if you get what I am saying and but the issue is it's a one person rebellion. Before you flip out and say it is your mother it isn't. She's on the opposite side of hell making her way here. Let's back on topic though. So this person was my second in command and also a demon lord. The name demon lord is self-explanatory so don't ask what it is. Well, what I am basically saying is her power is growing and I need a place to put her, since you don't have much room to bargain how about you do me this solid and be her container for a little while, eh?"

James growls because he is too weak to talk back. Then Sera voice echoes throughout his body screaming, "James! Don't listen to him he is..." then her voice fades.

James reaches out to Zeren and says, "Give me more power!"

Then with a villainous smirk, Zeren blackish purple energy runs from Zeren's body and onto James. The darkness begins to eat the spears of light and heal James's as Zeren disappears into a shadow. "Best of luck kiddo," Zeren says before he completely phases into the darkness.

"Hey dumbass, I am not trying to die here in your body so I will loan you a little of my power." A woman's voice says but just her tone sent chills down James's spine

"You fucking idiot. I told you not to trust Zeren." Seraph roars in James's mind as she maximizes James's light magic output to counteract the demon lord's presences dark magic.

Time returns to normal as almost seems to resurrect as he erupts in an aura a light, dark, fire, and lightning magic. He suddenly grows a second wing that becomes black. His former snow white hair fades to grey as his irises are a collaboration of red, black, silver, and blue. A halo of gold fire and red lightning circulate glows brightly over his head. The remnants of James's god slayer armor disperse revealing his six-pack. "Horu tell me why would you kill your own flesh and blood." James's voice booms.

Intenias steps in front of Horu and says, "James calm down I already have enough data from this fight there is no need to continue. It is obvious that you are the victor."

"Data? Fucking data? Your son almost killed your grandson for data! You abandoned mom. You ruin your son! And now you try to sink your claws into my life for fucking DATA!" James roars as the intensity of his aura increases.

Veyra and Miria get up off the crumbling the ground. Veyra looks over to see James releasing his power. Then hundreds of angles with halos surround James. "James get out of there!" Veyra yells but it was too late the angels began attacking.

James slashes ten angels at once. All the angels charge at James at once. He flies upwards decapitating three angels then blasts five angles with fire and dark energy instantly vaporizing them. He throws his silver sword cutting twenty angels in half. Two angels fly towards him causing him to ax kick both of their heads causing it to cave in. The remaining Angels focus all their magical power into a white ball of energy. The size of the floating palace. They launch it forward at James but he backhands it into the ocean making causing an explosion in the distance the size of five nuclear explosions. Then James blasts the remaining Angels with a combination of his four elements. "Grandmother! Horu! Face me!" James roars.

Intenias flies up to face her grandson but instead of horror, her face showed joy. "Grandchild of mine. You have made me so proud. Come, challenge me with your power." She says as she forms a normal sized spear of light and points it at James. James moves at Godspeed slams his two swords through the air and into his grandmother's spear. He thrust his blades forward grazing Intenias's cheeks. She kicks him in the chest sending him back down through the palace destroying the base causing it to crumble and fall out of the sky and into the sea but he shoots right back colliding swords and spear again. James swings his blade horizontally causing Intenias duck down which makes James swing his other sword vertically slashing her through the chest. Intenias begins to fall out of the sky but she catches herself and yells. "James! Let's finish this in one final blow" Then Intenias blasts all of her light magic in a huge pillar of energy.

James looks down at his grandmother in disgust and yells, "Let's end this!" Then he lets go of all the anger and sadness that he built up over time and sends it through his counterblast of fire, light, darkness, and lightning. The two rays of energy collide James's blast begins to overpower Intenias's until Horu blasts his own balancing it out again.

Then Veyra and Mira sneak up behind Horu and knock him out cold letting James's blast of energy overtake Intenias's and completely annihilate her slamming her to the ocean floor and pushing the water away. Intenias lies on the ocean floor now singed and burned smiling up at her grandson proudly. "James, you truly are the final product of my research." She croaks out as she gets sucked into a portal of light.

Then a man with long blonde hair, ivory skin, a halo, and six wings walks out of the portal. "Child of prophecy you will be pardoned for your killing of one hundred and two angels but if you harm Archangel Intenias anymore you will answer to me, Archangel Mikel." His voice booms with so much force that blows James's hair back. But as soon as Mikel came he left and the portal closes.

"Shit." James groans as his turns back to its original color, so do his eyes. Then his wings phase out of existence as he falls out of the sky from exhaustion. Veyra catches him as Miria brings an unconscious Horu to shore.

"Hey, James can we leave this shitty country now?" Miria asks as Veyra lands with James in her arms.

Then two magic inhibitor chips attach themselves to the neck of the goddesses as Ayane and Asareth both ambush them and dispatches them easily. James turns his head as he looks up to see Asareth raise her foot and kick him knocking him unconscious.
