Ch.22 Emotionally Unstable

Caleb stands on the deck as the coastal city of Xing comes in view. "Land ho!" James roars standing at the top of the yacht's dragon landing pad.

"Shut up!" Gabriel yells as he is woken up from his mid-day nap.

James's eyes begin to glow as he begins to see the conveniently placed floating castle. Then as they begin to get closer to the docks they see something glinting in the docks. "Oh, those sons of bitches!" James yells as a large cannon in booms in the distance. A huge ray of magical energy flies towards the yacht at high speeds. Gabriel grabs his two pistols then form hand cannons which he uses to launch a huge blast of fire that puts the cannon's measly ray to shame as it pierces through it and obliterate the docks.

"He set us up!" Caleb roars as his aura of blue lightning emerges as he grabs his rapier. A legion of soldiers wearing black and gold armor fly into the sky using a variety of elements attacking the yacht. James waves his hand as half the legion is blown out of the sky by fire golden fire and red lightning.

"Why are they attacking us!" Veyra yells as she throws a small group of soldiers out of the air and into the water with a flick of her wrist. Jessica uses a tidal wave to push the yacht to what was the dock. The yacht crashes into the city causing dust and debris to go flying everywhere.

"Give a couple minutes, I am going to speak to the feudal lord of this city." James states as his aura begins to emerge as the rest of the group begins to get up but still disorientated. James moves at speeds almost unspeakable as he checks every single building in the city. He bursts into the city hall building with the face of a madman to find an old man with strong facial features, long white hair and a beard with black eyes dressed in a golden kimono.

"You've come to kill eh, boy." The old says in yutonese

"Nice try asshole I took that elective when I was twelve," James responds in yutonese

"So, you have come to kill me due to the empress's request." The old man asks in the universal tongue.

"What are you talking about?" James asks.

"I haven't surrendered power over my domain to the empress as all the other major cities." The old man replies.

"Wait you're the feudal lord Hyun Zhe? Wow I know haven't been on my A game for a while but damn I didn't know it was this bad that something like that just flies over my head." James sighs in disbelief

"Yes, I am I should call off my forces now." Lord Hyun says

James chuckles then says, "If there any forces left. I mean you guys had no chance what so ever. If I wanted to I could take this town myself and kill everyone here. You're just lucky we weren't in a pissy mood." Then James's slightly gleeful expression turns to cold and unforgiving one as he says, "Try something like this while we are here and I will level this city, understand."

Hyun's face twists as he tries to hold his fear as his throat dries he says, "Yeah, sure."

James smiles as pats the old Feudal Lord on his back then says, "Good, my friends are going sleeping here so prepare rooms and we will discuss why we are here and our misunderstanding. I will back in a few minutes," Then as quick as James arrived he was gone.

A single soldier stands in the carnage of what seems was a dock and an army of at least ten thousand healthy young men and woman lying unconscious. Between the destruction stood a Gabriel, Caleb, Jessica, Thalia, Aria, and Veyra stand at the center of it. "Human! Where is your leader!" Veyra demands

"I will never tell you." The soldier says in a yutonese accent with his voice now shaking.

Gabriel walks towards the soldier with an orange flame burning engulfing his right hand and eyes burning a brilliant red. "Look here scrub, I respect that you don't want to sell your leader out but on the other hand I am not in the mood to go on a wild goose chase for my brother and your leader so I am asking you once tell me where is your goddamned feudal lord!"

With tears in his eyes, the soldier shakes his head no. Causing Gabriel's eyes to gleam a darker more violent red. Gabriel gets ready to strike the soldier but Caleb catches Gabriel's fist, "The hell is wrong with you! You were going to kill him."

Gabriel backfists Caleb then allows his orange phoenix aura to emerge. "Get your grubby mortal hands off me," Gabriel commands with the booming force of the Phoenix.

Caleb gets up spitting out blood and with a smile. "I see what is wrong with you. You don't have full control of the Phoenix and it is affecting your emotional state. But don't worry I'll beat emotional stability into you." Caleb says with his blue lightning engulfing him and his eyes glowing blue. Their two auras push the water in the destroyed docks back into the. Then Caleb punches Gabriel into the sky. The shock wave blows away all of the boats at the docks. Gabriel and Caleb continue their battle in the sky trading blow for blow. The impact of the two almost godlike warriors blows away the clouds that were anywhere remotely close to the Xing.

Caleb begins to overpower Gabriel. Caleb throws a left it collides with Gabriel's jaw. But, Gabriel blasts Caleb away with a pillar of fire. Caleb recovers in time to block Gabriel's axe kick with an extra boost of fire. Caleb catches Gabriel's leg and throws him back down to the docks. Caleb charges down from the sky for the knockout blow. As Caleb lands lodging his fist into Gabriel's forehead his King's State aura disperses as his eyes stop glowing its blue light. Caleb's face turns from confident victor to future hospital patient as Gabriel's face does the complete opposite. "Ah, shit," Caleb says as Gabriel's phoenix aura explodes and Gabriel grabs his neck.

"Nice try god spawn," Gabriel says with his other hand begins to form a colossal spear of fire. Then with a flick of the wrist, the spear launches forward.
