Ch.28 The Child of Light

James finally climbs over the lump in his throat and says, "H...hi Grandmother. Can you let go of my chin now?"

"Gives me a few seconds, let me finish observing the features of your face. Your face is extremely good looking you make me proud that my offspring produced a product like you. Child, come with me." Intenias says letting go of James jaw.

James picks up the two goddesses who lie on the ground unconscious and snoring. "Damn, they took a major L. Maybe if I behave my grandmother won't kill me." James thinks as he follows the archangel. "What could you possibly need me for?" James asks his grandmother.

Intenias says, "I am confident that you know the current state of the god of light. This world is lacking balance, darkness grows stronger while light grows weaker. To balance the god of darkness you need the god of light. But we don't have a god of light so Zeren just continues to grow stronger. Then one day after doing research I came to the conclusion that we should create a new god of light. I searched for a means to create a new god of light but found no information on the topic as expected. There was still one method I did not dare to dabble into and that was sexual reproduction. I did not know whether a god and an Angel could conceive a child so I tricked and seduced your grandfather Tresterian. But my hypothesis was right and so your mother was born. But your mother had a defect, emotions and a Father who would not let her be raised up in such a way. To avoid any conflict that could harm the test subject even more. I had to abandon the experiment altogether. Luckily for me after a couple of years, we found leftover magic and DNA of Lord Osirin and I was able to create a perfect subject my son, Horu. But soon after Horu was born and even more interesting development emerged. You, James a tri-brid between fire, lightning, and light. I wanted to meet you desperately but your mother who I brought into this world denied me of that. Since your mother carries the emotion of hatred I am pretty sure she did not teach that you had the power of light. What I want to do is see which the hybrid is better or tri-brid. I know that you will need Horu for you to fulfill the prophecy so if you win Horu will travel with you on your journey."

James begins to become skeptical of what his grandmother just said besides angry, disappointed and other emotions that he couldn't name. "What is in it for you?" James asks in a slightly threatening tone.

"I get invaluable data from this fight that can help me go a long way to restore balance," Intenias responds calmly. At the end of the never-ending corridor was what seemed like an endless room, but you could still see the glass roof. There was a young man standing in the middle of the room with a white and gold spear. The young man had short thick white hair, silver eyes, and a singular wing but it was a left-wing, unlike James. His skin was darker but he looked a lot like a more masculine Intenias. He was wearing a white robe with greyish silver pants.

"I'm guessing you are Horu?" James says as he draws both swords.

Horu looks at James then says, "So, you're my unworthy counterpart. I'll show the power of the god of light today." Then James charges at Horu. He swings his two blades in one violent slash at Horu who blocks it with his spear. James jumps back as he engages his aura then it begins to split. Red lightning begins to engulf James right side of his body while his golden flame begins to engulf the left side of his body.

"This is your first and only chance to surrender," James says, with is right eye now red and left eye now golden. Horu smirks then releases his aura of white energy. Horu blasts multiple shots of energy at James who deflects them all but while James busy dealing with the shots of energy Horu flash stepped behind James was about land a decisive blow but James pivots on his heal and with his silver sword redirect the spear's blade upwards then thrusts forward with his golden blade but Horu side steps James thrust but still got slashed right across the chest. Horu then kicks James away sending him flying into a wall. Then he throws his spear at James who flies upwards dodging the initial attack. Then Horu accelerates towards his spear and uses as a launching pad into the air where he uppercuts James having him slam against the glass ceiling. Then James uses the opportunity to shoot down from the sky using his aura as a spear charging at Horu. Horu is unable to dodge the attack as James sends Horu through the palace and into the sea beneath.

Horu emerges from the sea in his white and gold god slayer armor. He says, "I am the god of light Horu I refuse to be beaten by a mutt!" Those words anger James as he engages his black and red god slayer armor. But Horu begins to grow his right wing and a Halo. "This what true power looks like," Horu yells as thousands of light spears form and launches themselves at James. He tries to defend himself from all of them but for each one he defended against eight more would him. After a few minutes, the barrage ended and when the dust cleared to reveal James stand there impaled by multiple spears.

James's blood begins to seep through the armor as he says, "Co... come on. M... Girlfri...end hits harder then you."

Horu flies back up into the palace and says, "Since you still can talk I guess you can still fight." Then a giant light spear the size of ten flagpoles appear above Horu pointed at James. With the flick of the wrist, the spear launches forward impaling James.
