Ch.2 Darkness Comes Knocking... Down Their house

James begins to stir as sits up in his bed. He looks at his room that was now surprisingly neat. "Must have been Mom." He thought. He looks out the window to see the crescent moon glowing above the City of Veyron. He just stares out into the beautiful city with shining lights and tall buildings. James waves at a family who is flying their green scaly dragon home from the theatre.

"Hey Jay, glad to see you're up and about after I knocked your disrespectful-ass out," Nala says causing James to turn around.

"Mom! You're arm! I am sorry... wait it is healed. Did you call a healer?" James asks curiously.

"Yeah, kiddo you hit your mother pretty hard but luckily these old joints still got it," Nala says putting her hand on his head.

James smirks saying, "Mom you're hilarious, you're the freaking "Holy Knight of Lightning" no wonder Dad fell in love with you."

"Speaking of your father he is very proud you. I'm pretty sure he is awed at how strong you've grown." Nala says hugging James.

James pulls away and says, "How would you know? I haven't even met him, for all I know, he probably forgot that I existed."

Then Nala smacks James upside his head then says in an angered tone, "Don't you dare talk about your father like that. When he was separated from you it nearly tore him apart. James, he cried! Have you ever seen a god cry! Didn't think so."

James looks at his mother furiously with blazing red eyes only for that rage to dissipate when he looks his mother in her eyes which were full tears. He hugs her then says, "Mom I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that."

"It's okay Jay. I need to talk to you about something but we need to go to our library." Nala says putting her hands-on James's shoulder.

They travel down to the lowest floor of the palace revealing their enormous collection of books. "Wow, James now I know where all that money went. How many books are here now?" Nala asked gleefully

"Mom, there is about a couple million books in here," James said with extreme confidence.

Nala begins looking through the older looking shelves until she pulls an old raggedy book then says, "This was your great, great grandfather's journal. He fought in the War of the Gods. You remember those gauntlets that appeared out of nowhere in your fight with Tybalt?"

"Yeah, it made me stronger and faster why is that?" James says with a face twisted with confusion.

Nala tells, "James you should sit down it is a pretty long story. Alright, at the end of the great war, Zeren the god of darkness spoke of a prophecy. It said, "A child of fire and lightning will be the undoing of the gods." But there was another prophecy that Osirin spoke of, it said, "Nine demigods will arise in nine different armors to slay the eight gods lead by the child of lightning and fire. We refer to the nine demigod's armors as the god slayer armors. James, you are the child of fire and lightning."

James yells, "How long have you known? How long!" Then there is a huge explosion to in the city. They speed to the site of the explosion where they see an unconscious Tybalt and Aria.

"Bring me the god-slayer! This is a sorry display of your pathetic master class mages." Yells a voice walking out of the explosion revealing that it was the nameless god slayer in the black and purple armor but this time she wasn't wearing the god slayer armor just a simple black hood and dress.

James draws his sword and releases his aura of lightning and fire then says, "Who are you? I would tell you to surrender but you don't look like the sane type."

"Hello child of fire and lightning, My name is Asareth..." She replies.

"What do you want?" Nala asks in a curious but angered tone.

"Holy shit! Are you the holy knight of lightning Nala the daughter of Tresterian, slayer of ten thousand dragons in the caves of Keriayon?" Asareth asks in a slightly insane voice.

James steps in front of his mother saying, "And what if she is." Then he charges at her at the speed of light swinging his sword at Asareth but she dodges every slash and stab than James throws her way.

Asareth lets this onslaught continue as James keeps slashing until she says, "You are pretty pathetic for a child of prophecy, but everyone can't be a great god slayer like me, can they?" Then she kicks James up into the air then waits for him to come down then kicks him into a nearby building.

James explodes out of the building with his gauntlets on now slashing Asareth. "You're quite pathetic for a god slayer yourself." He says confidently.

Asareth steps back and looks at the wound that begins to start healing itself. "Impressive. I'm going to have to use my armor." Asareth releases her aura pushing James back. Soon the aura begins to engulf her no longer making her visible then she emerges from her aura with her god slayer armor on. James gets ready to attack Asareth but she appears directly in front of him grabbing his face and throwing halfway across Veyron. Within a blink of an eye, James returns with a now bloodied face swinging his blade at Asareth head but she ducks under the slash and uppercuts him causing him to fly upward. James lands a couple feet behind his mother knocked out cold. Asareth looks at Nala then tries to punch her.

"Child, you are in way over your head right now," Nala says blocking Asareth's punch with one finger. Nala backhands Asareth into the nearby wall. Asareth gets up a materializes a double bladed black scythe. Nala draws her sword from her sheath. The two female warriors begin a highspeed fight with their weapon. Nala kicks Asareth away from her, then blasts her with lightning. Asareth knocks the lightning back at Nala who creates a more powerful bolt of lightning that blasts Asareth. Asareth is now on the ground struggling to get up as Nala squats down to taunt her. "Any last words, Asareth?"

Asareth smiles which is now visible through her cracked helmet then says, "Yeah, go to hell! You bitch!" Then she opens up a portal to the fiery realm known as hell. It begins to drag Nala in as she tries to run out of the portal's pull. Asareth uses a blast of pure darkness to push Nala into the portal of hell which closes up in the instant Nala is sucked into it. Asareth falls on her back as her god slayer armor disperses. She hears more guards coming so she opens a portal to a forest. She launches herself into the portal. As she hits the ground she passes out.
