Ch.13 Welcome to Heaven, Your New-Found Hell
Keriayon and his sons are walking through his armory. "So, dad why are we in heaven?" James asks as his father passes him his two sabers.
Keriayon groans then says, "Ask your Grandfather..."
"Keriayon! Is the child prophecy here!" Yells the voice of a young woman.
"Hide!" Keriayon whispers gesturing to them to flee. The young woman reveals herself as he walks past the racks holding weaponry to be an ivory-skinned blonde with long hair that faded into a brownish color the longer it grew. Her dark green eyes matched her black evening dress with a greenish tint.
"Oh, wow Keriayon you produce some pretty good-looking offspring." The woman says as she punches his shoulder.
James begins to feel an unnatural attraction towards her as she scopes him out with eyes of pure mischief. "Who are you?" James asks getting ready to draw his sword.
The woman walks up to James smiling then says, "I'm the goddess of love and desire, Veyra. But more importantly who are you. There isn't a drop of humanity in you. Are you an angel?"
James steps back in shock as he asks, "What the hell do you mean there isn't a drop of humanity in me and what the hell is an angel?"
Veyra giggles as she says, "Wow your father hasn't told you anything. I will send for you tonight. Until then enjoy your stay in the heavens. Oh yeah before I go what is your name boy?"
James's eyes flared when she said, "boy." "The name is James, not boy, you would be wise to remember that." James states.
"Ooooooh, scary. I like that but you would be wise to remember I am a goddess and one not to be trifled with." Veyra responds with a mischievous grin and eyes that could cut through a mountain. "Well, I should be on my way now," Veyra says as she walks out the armory.
"She seems nice," Gabriel says in a sarcastic tone. "Well back to a more serious tone where are my guns, dad?"
Keriayon laughs then says, "Oh, those pieces of shit. I sent them to the forges so we could enhance it so it will be worthy of one my sons."
Gabriel rolls his eyes then says, "Don't have to be so dramatic dad."
"Me? Dramatic? Never." Keriayon says with a strong dose of sarcasm. The father and his two sons begin to wait until they see Tresterian and Caleb enter the armory.
"Yo, Gabriel, James, Uncle Keriayon," Caleb says walking over to the trio.
"I see you made the trip," Gabriel says while fist bumping with Caleb.
"Yeah, I got to hang out with my dad for a little while before I came here to," Caleb says grinning.
James walks up to Tresterian then says, "I'm guessing that you are Tresterian, my grandfather."
Tresterian smiles as he extends his hand for a handshake, "Yes I am."
James shakes his grandfather's hand then asks, "What did Veyra mean by I am not human an what is an angel?"
Tresterian sighs as he says, "Did Veyra really say that? But what she said is true you are not human at all. Neither is your mother she was adopted."
"What! Does she know?" James asks
"Of course, she knows." Tresterian answers.
"If we are not part human what are we?" James asks
"You're part angel. Your grandmother is the Archangel, Itenianis. I came down to earth for a short period of time and met your grandmother who was disguised as a human and we fell in love and then your mother was conceived." Tresterian says.
