The baby began to cry in my arms once more, and she startled Dixon to the point of flinching at the sound. And although my grin wanted to make an appearance, it came out as a sob instead.

"Say his name..." I spoke. Breaking the silence and rending my whisper to be so gentle to not disturb the baby anymore. Rick needs to hear his name, and with him just sitting up and staring at particularly nothing. It worried me beyond belief.

"Rick...Hey Rick...Rick, ya with me?" Daryl spoke, bending down on one knee before the man. But their was no recognition in his eyes. So when Rick proved to be motionless. Daryl stood up and gave an honest shrug, he needs a moment to put his thoughts together. So might as well do so.

Carl tugged on my shirt, holding his arms out and as I placed his baby sister to carefully into the crook of his arm did I fix her into place the second she was out into her big brother's hold.

"Let me see the baby..." Hershel spoke, and my hand found it's place behind Carl's back. He wasn't crying anymore, walking so quickly towards the doctor but Daryl took the lead.

"What are we gonna feed it? We got anythin' a baby can eat?" Daryl looked to me once more, and I followed in pursuit after him as I shook my head no. She needs formula.

"The good news is she looks healthy. But she needs formula. And soon or she won't survive." My begging eyes looked over towards Dixon as I held myself and my blood ridden body from anyone else's gaze.
