I was just happily sitting the guard tower, my feet dangling as I was trying the new sniper out for size. My positions included on my stomach, or just neatly formatter to fit my feet over the edge and through the bars.

"Rory?" A whisper-shouted, and I just let out a whistle as I was just trying to practice my aim without using bullets.

"How long ya been up here?"

"Since I put Addie to bed." Was all I said, my mouth squished against the gun itself. And when I looked back, he was already lighting himself another cigarette. Before offering me the box I just took it and lit it myself and not taking the offered light.
I feel guilty about sleeping with Rick, and it's hitting me now more than ever.

"Addie held down the fort I heard." My eyes glanced towards him as I looked through the scope once more.

"Come on hun, ya can't see shit anyway." I smiled, looking towards him as I flipped the night vision on.
"Yeah, Maggie told me."

"Fired a damn shot into the air to get everybody's attention. Sounds like somethin' ya'd do." I laughed, picking the cigarette lightly and crushing the ashes beside my thigh.

"Sounds more like what Merle would've done. But hey, I'll take it too." His smirk rose, and I couldn't help myself from that look. So I let the sniper go and setting it between the two of us. I know I promised before about... 'makin' love,' but my daughter being threatened.
It's not sitting right with me.

"Ya daughter's gonna be fine."

"Dare he wants her. Somewhere in his sick fucking mind, he thinks she's his daughter." I stated, letting my chin rest against the cold metal. I've cried so much in the past few days that I'm strictly out of tears.
So instead I'm shaking, and the only way Daryl seemed to know how to stop it. Is by wrapping his arms strictly around me, his chin on my shoulder as he breathed through his nose. Loudly at that.

"Ain't gonna let nothin' happen to her. Merle neither."

"I love you...You know that?" I asked, kissing his cheekbone as his smile just flared up once more. Bigger this time. "Ya could start sayin' it more often. I don't mind." Biting my lip did I look so deeply to his, and then gesturing back to his eyes did we both have the same idea.

It started as just a peck, but I was kidding myself to think I could stop there. My hand found it's way through his hair, both our smiles mirrored the other as I couldn't help my bodies movement.

"This smart?" I breathed out, and he stopped mid sentence. "Somethin' wrong? Is it ya—"

"No. My leg's fine...I meant. I meant staying here?" I offered, and he moved away a bit. "Ya sidin' with Hershel and Carol now?" Shrugging was the only movement I could, along with bring my bangs to the back of my head.
