The receptive motion laying to my back continued to soothe me as I tried to fall back asleep. But it didn't work, instead my moan was met by a growl. And a good morning kiss on my temple.
"Ya feelin' aight?" He questioned, and just when I was about to respond. I opened my eyes, looking around the room in confusion. Why were we at the house? I don't remember us planning to get away from the prison?
"Hun?" He brushed the hair away from my face, and when I realized that there was light out. And the sound of cars and voices outside, I remembered the dream from last night. I caught Daryl cheating on me...
Turning to look at him did I relish in the overwhelming feeling that...That I'm still here.
"I'm going to check on—"
"Nah...Nah ya stay here, I'll do it. Remember when ya were pregnant with lil Aidan, he'd knock ya on ya ass in the mornin'...Sit tight," I nodded along, but the second he left I tried to fall back asleep.
And every time I did...I'd wake up here.
Is this my life now? Unhappy and being cheated on by my husband? With two kids and another one on the way...God almighty I'm.
"Mama!" My daughter yelled out. Opening the door for her father as he brought me a tray of breakfast, and although my stomach turned into knots at the sight of food. I was more than surprised that it turned out to be just a fruit plater.
Orange juice, and some yogurt.
"Ya said it's easier to get down...Addie here helped to cut up 'em fruits. Ain't that right sweetheart?" She smiled up to her father, so proudly and rewardingly that I tried to shake it off.
And as much as I want this to be real, it can't be. Truthfully.
"Why don't we give ma a minute, eat up...Ya should get dressed girly...Lil bird told me that ya wanna shoot the bow 'gain." She nodded, hurried out of the room to get dressed to do whatever activity that involves with aiming the bow.
"What time's the party?"
"Four, they invited Joey and Mikey. Better get 'em soon too." I nodded, starting to snack on the plate in front of me.
But his eyes were so cautious, as were his hands movements and everything he did before me.
"Can we get through today...Please?" He perked his lips and nodded, not like he can do anything more than agree anyway. So with that, he left. The door soon clicked closed and I was in the room.
Once again, alone.
There was a moment in me that I couldn't take anymore, so I broke down. The rip in my heart that just made me so disgusted with my I love yanked everything out of me. Completely demolishing trust, appreciation.
