"Hello?" I answer after the first ring.
"Hi, how are you?" He's always so polite, so charming.
"Good, yourself?"
"I'm okay now that I'm talking to you. Ready for tomorrow?"
"Yeah, can't wait." Really. I can't wait for this day to be over even though it just started.
"Alright sounds good, text me your address so I can pick you up at noon for lunch?"
"Will do."
"Talk to you later beauty."
"Bye Louis" I smile.
I catch Lou staring at me the whole time I was talking on the phone.
"Who was that?" Luke asks.
"A friend."
"You have friends?" He rudely remarks.
"Yes. Unlike you." I giggle.
"Right." He opens the car door and gets out then pulls out a cigarette.
"What are you doing?!" I follow.
"What the hell does it look like?" He puts it between his teeth and pulls out a lighter from his back pocket.
"You smoke?"
"No, I eat them." He's being sarcastic and I don't really like it.
"If you don't drop that now I won't go.." Ashton shuts the car door as I try to finish my sentence. Looks likes he's in deep conversation with Lou.
"You won't what?" Before I turn I can feel Luke being inches away from me.
No, not here. Not now Luke. I keep my head turned and walk away a if I didn't feel Luke being so close to me.
"Come on Lou." I scream across the parking lot.
"Coming love." She waves at Ash.
"I'll be right back Ash, just gonna take Lou to see Harry." Lou grabs my hand and I can see Luke walking far.
I leave Ashton leaning against his car waiting for me as Lou and I walk into the hospital holding hands.
"Mr.Styles please" I say to the front desk.
"Sure just go right in if you know the room."
Lou and I make our way into the room. We find Harry sleeping, from the side I can see him opening one eye but I don't think Lou noticed. The silly boy is pretending.
"I'll leave you with Harry now, I have to catch up with Ash and Luke." I pat Lou on the back and leave the room.
Harry's POV.
Oh no, Lou and El just walked in and I'm sure El just caught me pretending to sleep.
I know Lou wants to bring up the past. That night we were fading fast, I just wanted us to last. If I could of said the words I wanted to say, I would have found a way to make her stay. I'd never let her get away, catch her in all the games we play.
I remember the way she looked at me with those eyes, I remember the way she felt inside and the name of the songs that made her cry. She would scream, we would fight. She would call me crazy, I would laugh and she would get mad.
The shirt that I had that she always borrowed, when I woke it was gone there was no tomorrow.
Being here without her is like waking up to only half a blue sky. I was kinda there but no quiet. Walking around with just one shoe, I was half a heart without her.
Half a man at best, with half an arrow in my chest 'cause I missed everything we did. Though I tried to get her out of my head, the truth is I got lost without her.
"I wanted you to want me this way and I needed you to need me to stay. If you didn't feel a thing" she looks down and starts tearing up. "You should have let me go."
"I did." I spit with no emotion what so ever.
She lifts up her head and her face is in full shock. Not so sure why.. It's either what I didn't stop my dirty mouth from saying or just talking in general but I needed to kill this conversation while there is still sense in my mind. I miss the way she felt. No one will ever know.
"Let's forget the past Lou." I continue.
"Forget all we said that night." I add. She knows what I think about and I have an idea about what she is about to say. "No, It doesn't even matter because we both got split in two." I cut her off before she can say anything at all.
With a face like stone, her pain was beginning to show. "I had a lot to say, now I'm not so sure I should say anything at all."
Lou was the kind of girl who saw the world though a mason jar. Ever since we were little, I would always shut her up with my come backs.
I always crushed her imagination with my reality but she always seemed to be doing alright. She was a dreamer and looking back I was a horrible best friend. I still don't know how she could have loved someone like me.
"I wish I would have came and never seen you this way. I'm so sorry." She wipes her face.
"Not your fault, no need to apologize."
"Sorry.."
"You did it again." I try to smile but my face hurts like hell.
Lou smiles and sits next to me. "You always like to make me looks stupid Styles." She nods her head.
Eleanor's POV.
I know Harry doesn't want to talk to Lou but he has got to get his shit together.
I need to find Dr.Johnson and ask him who hit Harry.. He might have an idea.
"Dr.Johnson?" He's standing next to the front desk looking at his clipboard.
"Hello Ms. Eleanor." He smiles at me.
"How are you?" I always have to be polite.
"Good, yourself?"
"I'm okay, just need some sleep."
"Yes you do Ms., I bet Harry is driving you out of it."
"It's not just him... I was wondering if you had any idea who could had hit him..?" I wanted to know more than anything.
"Ah, yes." He puts on his glasses and looks at his clip board. "Follow me." He adds.
Dr. Johnson and I disappear into the hallway across Harry's. He opens the door and a shirtless male is laying down with a face mask on. He looks more beat up than Harry. With two needles inserted in his arm he looks in so much pain.
"We can't stop him from bleeding!" A screaming nurse yells. All nurses come and he lifts up his mask as he is coughing. This is so terrifying. Even the poor man's eyes are bleeding.
A few doctors come in and it feels like a nightmare.
"Aren't you gonna help?" I freak out.
"No, He's not my case. Harry is."
"But.. BUT LOOK AT HIM." If I was able to, I would run in and try anything.
"Don't worry. It happens often."
"This is normal?"
"Happened three times today, the doctors are just trying to keep him alive." Dr. Johnson turns me away from this nightmare. "Now you wanted to know information about him?" He looks down at his clip board.
"His name is Liam James Payne, He was drunk driving and crashed his car into Harry." He looks up at me.
"Swerving car is what Harry had told me." I zone out.
