Eleanor's POV.
Dr. Johnson had just told me that Harry might wake up today. I hope he does. I want to know why he left that parking lot in the first place. He shouldn't have. My thoughts are bringing me to tears. I should give my full attention to the doctor.
My phone starts ringing in my dress pocket and I reach for it. This is why I love this dress so much. I'm not the dress type of girl, more into band shirts and skinny jeans, really.
It's Louis.. I wonder why he's calling me at this hour.
"Excuse me Doc." I say as I answer my phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, El!"
"How are you Louis?"
"I'm really good! How are you liking New York so far?"
"I.. " I take a deep breath. "I love it really."
"Doesn't seem like it, what's on your mind?"
"Loads" I press my head against the wall.
"Do you want to meet up tomorrow?" I have to go to dinner with Luke..?
"Can we on Sunday? I have to do something tomorrow.."
"Yeah, what ever works for you really."
"See yah then Tommo!" Even on the phone he makes me smile.
"By Calder!" Harry doesn't even know my last name... Mrs.Styles.
I hang up the phone and Dr.Johnson comes out.
"Eleanor, Harry woke up."
"Really?" Oh my god. Feels like ages.
"Yes, go ahead and stay with him if you like" He point to the room.
I smile and nod then walk right in.
Harry still looks beat up, his black eye is getting darker by the minute. I walk closer to him and smile. I so happy he woke up, I don't want to cry in front of him feel bad.
"Harry.." I whisper and sit next to him. He lifts his hand that's not broken and touches my face.
Tears automatically start steaming down my face. I just can't control them, He looks in so much pain that he can't even talk.
"Why did you leave the parking lot when you should have waited for me" I continue.
"I.. I wanted to get you lunch." He finally speaks.
"Lunch?" I haven't ate since Harry came to this hospital.
"You and I had so much on our minds.. I just thought maybe I should distract myself.
I left the parking lot and I realized that maybe I should call you incase you got out early, as I reached for my phone a swerving car came at me.. I don't remember much after that." He ran out of breath.
Oh my gosh, I'm the reason he got in a car accident. If we would have just gone home, if I never even asked him about his parents he would have never got in this accident.
I wonder what happened to the person who hit him. Is he or she alright?
Lou is still waiting outside for Harry.
"Harry, an old friend of yours came to see you."
"Who?"
"She said her name is Lou, she came all the way from England to see you."
"Lou.. " He looks at me with his bright green eyes. His face looks in suspense. " Why would she come here..? Tell her I haven't woken up yet. I'm not ready to see her like this."
"But Harry, She's so worried about you.."
"Shh" He puts his hand on my mouth.
"I don't want to see anyone but you right now." he removes his hand from my mouth slowly.
"Okay." I whisper. "She can't just stay outside though. I'm taking her back to your flat."
"Okay." He looks annoyed. "Wait, how long have you been here?"
"All night." I wink.
I grab my bag and phone then say goodbye to Harry.
Harry's POV.
Lou is here? Why? It's been years.. We haven't seen each other literally for ages.
Six weeks since I have been away from England, She told me that everything has changed. I was afraid that I might be losing her. Every night that I've spent alone, I was thinking about her on her own. I wish that I could have went back to be with her.
Late night calls and other texts. That's as good as it got. Every day she felt a little bit further away and I didn't know what to say. We were wasting time talking on a broken line, telling her I haven't seen her face in ages.. . Everyday I've lost her in a thousand faces. Now I feel we are as close as strangers.
On the phone I can tell that she wanted to move on, from the tears I can hear that I shouldn't of gone. Everyday got harder to stay away from her. Ever since we haven't talked, Now it's been six years since I went away. I bet she has changed.
