(Bakery AU)

Hanzo's newest and most frequent customer was Jesse McCree. The cowboy had quite the sweet tooth, and stopped by almost everyday to grab a bite. Originally, the Shimada found him rather annoying, but over time he grew fond of him.

And with that fondness came the feelings. The southerner was a huge flirt, and he never failed to make the baker blush. The two never managed to go past flirting, mainly because the ravenet was too flustered to respond.

But one day, he gathered up enough courage to flirt back. It was mid-afternoon, and he was about to close up shop. While he was wiping down the counter, he heard that familiar chime of a bell as the front door opened. He glanced up and smiled as Jesse walked in.

The brunet tipped his hat towards him and started peering through the glass display case. "Hey, sugar," he greeted playfully.

"Afternoon," he spoke calmly, hoping he wasn't blushing. He continued to wipe down the counter until be heard the customer clear his throat.

"May I get a few mini strawberry shortcakes down there?" McCree asked, already thumbing through his wallet.

Hanzo nodded and started off towards the back storage room. "Let me get you a box," he said, dropping his clorox wipe in a trash can as he walked by.

He walked into the back and started looking for a small box. When he found one suitable enough, he grabbed it and started to walk out. On his way, he caught sight of a sharpie and stopped short. He bit his lip for a moment before picking it up and scribbling something on the lid.

He came back to the counter and set the box down, careful not to show his message. He opened the display case. "How many?"

"Four'll do," the southerner answered, sliding a debit card across the counter. The Asian nodded and boxed them, not closing the lid.

"Thank ya, darlin'," the cowboy purred, pulling the box towards him. Hanzo was busy swiping the card when he heard the brunet's next comment.

"Yer as sweet as icing, Han."

He froze up, feeling his face start to flush. He cleared his throat and handed the card back to him. Not thinking twice about it, he said, "Give yourself some credit, Jesse. You're sweeter than anything in this store."

And with that, the ravenet closed the lid, revealing to McCree what he wrote. "Call me ;) XXX-XXXX." He watched in triumph as the other's face turned pink.

He then laughed, tipping his hat towards Hanzo. "I'll have t' give you a ring, then," he cooed, tapping the message twice. He watched as the baker blushed and nodded before walking out the door. Shaking his head, Jesse smiled to himself. "What a sweetheart..." he thought as he continued to walk down the sidewalk.

That night, he did give Hanzo a call. And it was the start of something sickeningly sweet.
