There are some quotes from Rainbow Rowell/Basilton Grimm-Pitch sprinkled in here like this for extra effect. I love these quotes so much, and I just had to use them for this oneshot. This was suggested by MelodyDragon.

You were the centre of my universe.

The man was perfect. Breathtaking. His smile could light up the room. Many people saw him a social butterfly that was impossible to dislike. But Hanzo knew the truth.

Everything else spun around you.

The mysterious ray of sunshine was exactly that: A literally ray of sunshine. He was one of the many sun gods on Earth, whose job was to keep humans happy and alive. But how did Hanzo know this? Why it was because he was a god, too.

Looking at you was like looking directly at the sun.

Jesse remembers the day he met his celestial counterpart. He had been passing through a town when he caught sight of his human friends from Overwatch. He stopped by to say hi, and that's when he saw him.

There wasn't a day when I believed we'd both live through it.

The energy pulsing off of him was universal. Immortal. Easy to recognize. "Moondust," he had realized after a few moments of staring. And it was then that they locked eyes.

You were the sun...

A mutual understanding passed between them, along with a mutual feeling of attraction. Then, like magnets, they were pulled towards each other by an unseen force. They knew it was part of the ritual, but they were still startled by it.

And I was crashing into you.

They made their way through the crowd, to the point where they were standing in front of each other. Clearing his throat, McCree decided to speak first. "For someone who represents the night, you seem to be glowing very brightly."

I'd wake up every morning and think:

"Don't mock my flusteredness," the ravenet growled. "You're glowing brighter than usual, too."

The sun deity simply laughed at this. "Learn to take a compliment, darlin'." He held out his hand. "Mortal name's McCree. Jesse McCree."

"This will end in flames."

He took it cautiously. "Shimada Hanzo," he answered quietly. Glancing up, he couldn't help but stare at the bright yellow aura that surrounded the brunet. "But just call me Hanzo."

But nonetheless, I chose you.

"You got it, moonshine," Jesse said with a wink.

Although he was a god, he understood the joke. "That's even worse. That's like if I called you solar flare or blackout."

"Now that's jus' offensive."

The Asian snickered. "Exactly my point."

Jesse McCree, I choose you.
