This was not how it was suppose to go.

They were in a meeting, and Jesse and Hanzo were flirting with each other from across the room. Genji, who was beside his brother, was desperately trying to ignore the older Shimada's giggles and shitty pickup lines. Just a wrong glance in their direction made the cyborg want to throw up.

He felt a cool, metal hand brush his own and a pulse of harmony went through him. With a quiet sigh, he squeezed the hand tightly and turned to his left, seeing his master sitting beside him.

"What is wrong, my sparrow?"

The ninja shook his head, looking down at the table. With his free hand, he gripped his temples and sighed. "I tried to piss Hanzo off and the opposite happened."

"Oh." The omnic's head was tilted slightly. "Care to elaborate?"

In a hushed voice, he replied, "Mentally, yes. We're in a meeting, after all."

"Of course." Zenyatta bowed his head and started sifting through Genji's memories. He squeezed his hand, trying to find the way right one.

Suddenly, it appeared before him, clear as day. It was dated about a week ago. Carefully, he started to reply the memory.

"Oh, Hanzo, you're going to love this." The Shimada's voice was filled with sarcasm and suppressed laughter.

His brother gave him a stern look, a hint of worry on his face. "If you set me up with Roadhog, I will kill you."

"Christ, no. It's even better than Roadhog." It was getting hard to hold in his laughter. He was honestly surprised his brother had agreed to this blind date this to begin with. He came up with the idea yesterday, and was just eager to piss the archer off. To his surprise, he had agreed.

"I need more interpersonal relationships, anyhow," he had said when the idea was brought up. "This would be a great way to get a foot out the door. Just- don't set me up with a man. Please."

As soon as Genji was told this, he hit up every male in his contacts. "Blind date with a male? Anyone up for it? Helping out a friend."

McCree was the only one to reply, so he was chosen.

"We're almost there," he murmured now, practically shoving Hanzo in front of him. The arcade was just ahead of them.

Though he couldn't see his face, he heard the smugness in his voice. "Eager to get rid of me?"

"Eager to laugh my ass off, actually."

"Of course you are."

They made it into the arcade and stopped just by the door. The cyborg caught sight of the southerner and moved to the side so he could see both of their shocked expressions.

Their surprise was brief, and was quickly replaced by joy. Now it was Genji's turn to be surprised.

"Jesse! What a coincidence."

"I thought it'd be you, but I wasn't sure."

"Really? I thought Genji was trying to separate us. I even told him to pick a girl so I didn't accidentally fall for someone else."

"Did you really? And ya think he'd do that? He ain't that mean, doll."

"I'm sorry..." The younger Shimada looked between the two. "You guys are a thing?"

Surprise and amusement flashed on their faces. "So he didn't know..." The cowboy murmured quietly.

"We've been talking," Hanzo answered. "Not long, mind you. But we were starting to hit it off when you proposed this blind date."

"I wasn't expecting it t' be somethin' serious, but now that I know it's Han..." The brunet trailed off, sliding an a arm around the archer's waist. Hearing his brother laugh softly at the gesture made Genji internally cringe.

"Right... I'm gonna go now..." The ninja slowly back out of the arcade, trying to erase what he just saw from his memory. If only it had worked.

The memory fizzed out and the monk glanced over at his lover. Kenji was looking over at his brother, and he looked away when hey started blowing kisses. He shook his head, clearly disturbed. "It's a nightmare."

Zen squeezed his hand again, passing some harmony through him. "Love is a nightmare?"

"Of course not," he sighed, glancing over at his mentor. "Watching people be madly in love is a nightmare."

"But haven't you been madly in love?"

He didn't even hesitate. "With you, yes."

"Doesn't it feel amazing?"

"It feels fucking fantastic," the cyborg answered, his green lights shining just a little brighter. "Like I'm floating, and I'm never going to touch the ground for the rest of my life, even if the atmosphere kills me."

His ocular receptors flashed with joy. "Then why don't you let them experience it?"

"I am." The younger Shimada glanced back over at them. He let his gaze linger there as the meeting adjourned, watching his brother rush over to McCree and lock lips with him. He then looked away. "I just don't want to see it twenty-four-seven."

"Genji. He had to watch you smother me for months. I think it's time for you to see what it was like."

The ninja sighed softly and glanced back over at them. Jesse was peppering Hanson's face with kisses, and the Shimada was laughing loudly. After a moment, he looked back over at Zenyatta. "Alright... I'll let them have this."
