Thanks for 1k reads! :D
Sorry that this is kind of a shitty oneshot to celebrate with, but I've got a better one in the works, so it's alright. Enjoy!

An accidental slip of the tongue can turn your whole world upside down.

In the case of Hanzo Shimada, it did a little more than that. He was having a conversation with Genji, and it went a little something like this:

"So I was talking to Jesse yesterday-"

"Your boyfriend?"

"Yes, my boyfriend, and we - wait."

His younger brother bursted into laughter. He slowly realized what he had said and his face flushed red.

"Wait wait wait, you're telling me you officially tied the knot with him?" the ninja asked, wiping a non-existant tear away.

"No! It was an accident! I-"

"Dating the person you've liked for God knows how long was an accident? Damn."

"God dammit, Genji, we aren't dating! I didn't mean to call him my boyfriend!"

This only made him laugh harder. The archer crossed his arms and looked away, trying to hide his embarrassment.

"Oh, that's rich, anija," the cyborg sighed, leaning on the table. "Just wait 'til I tell him, he's gonna love it."

"You are not telling McCree about this," the ravenet growled.

His brother gave him a smug look. "Try me."

And with that, Genji leapt out of the room faster than Hanzo could. The older Shimada tried to go after him, running out into the hallway. By the time he got there, his brother was gone. "Siblings..." he muttered, heading back into the room.

He found himself laying down on the couch, his arm resting over his eyes. He kept thinking over every worst possible scenario that could happen if his crush found out what happened. He was on the one where Reaper came to murder him in cold blood when the doorbell rang.

With an annoyed sigh, he got up to get it. "Please don't be Jesse, please don't be Jesse, please don't be-"

He opened the door and a feeling of dread washed over him when he saw the cowboy in question standing outside. "Oh. Um. Hello, McCree."

"Howdy," he said, sounding nervous. He held up his phone warily. "Yer brother told me somethin'... Kinda embarrassin' that happened. I was wonderin' if you wanted to talk about it."

"You make one mistake, and this is what happens..." The Asian muttered as he rolled his eyes. "And what's there to talk about?"

"The fact you obviously have feelings for me," the southerner said bluntly. "But I wanted to tell you somethin' about that." He glanced around, then added, "In private."

Sighing, Hanzo pulled the door open a little more. "Fine, but be quick about it. I'd like to mope in peace."

Nodding, the brunet walked inside. The archer shut the door behind him and took a deep breath. "You've been through rejection before, Hanzo, you can do this."

He heard a cough and spun around, seeing Jesse sitting on his couch. The gunslinger patted the spot next to him, hinting for the ravenet to sit down. He obeyed.

"What's on your mind?" he asked as he sat down. He watched as McCree fiddled with his hat, still nervous. "Well, ya see..."

He cleared his throat, and the Shimada realized he was blushing some. "Genji only told me what happened because... Well, he knows somethin' about me. And you. And now was supposedly the perfect time to break the news."

"Just spit it out," Hanzo groaned, leaning on the Texan's shoulder. He soon realized what he was doing and pulled away, the blood rushing to his cheeks. The cowboy had a similar reaction.

"Well, y'see... I like you. Quite a bit."

The other male looked at him in surprise. "Wait... You like me back?"

Jesse nodded. "Okay, a lot, actually." He started messing with his hat even more. "I jus' didn't know how to tell ya before."

Without thinking, the sniper leaned into him. "Well, I guess now's the time," he mumbled, relief in his voice.

McCree laughed and wrapped his arms around the other. "Yeah... Hey, I got a question for ya."

"Hm?"

"Whaddya say we make that slip up of yours a reality?"

Hanzo looked up at him and smiled. "I would love that."
