So was Jordan saying he was ?

Woah hold on here

With me ?

Why me ?

What makes me so goddamn special ?

I'm just a girl from Philly

I have to find a way out of this city

I need to get away from how it and the people who reside here make me feel

This isn't home it never will be no matter how safe Jordan makes me feel

There is just something about him that makes me feel like I could tell him anything and that would ruin everything

Jordan pulled up to the corner of my block which I found out was just around the corner from his house on Melville Ave

Small world

Too small.

"How'd you know where I lived ?"

"Jayden apparently knew "

I wondered if Jayden had followed me but I kept that question to myself for the time being

Jordan hugged me before I got out of the car "Got plans tomorrow ? It is Saturday '

I panicked I didn't know what to say "Can I let you know ?"

Jordan smiled at me his dimples digging in deep

"Of course babe"he assured me as he leaned in and his lips met mine

His kisses felt natural and the most perfect thing in the world but even I know nothing is ever perfect.

I watched as he pulled away and turned onto his street still shocked that we lived so close to one another

I walked in my house noticing my mother wasn't home again and slammed the screen door

Just as I attempted to close the main door I spotted Jayden walking up the sidewalk

"Hold up Deanna I need to talk to you "

I sighed as I opened the screen door and walked out to the step.

Crossing my arms I studied him "What's up?"

Jayden leaned in

"I get you're not happy here that you hate Boston hate everything about it I think I can help you out if you let me "

"What's in it for you ?"

"I get to see my brother suffer "

"Why do you hate him so much ?" I asked before I could stop myself

"Mr Perfect cant have everything his way no matter what he thinks "

I said nothing as I studied Jayden and the look of jealousy in his eyes

"Let's do it what you have in mind?"

Jayden didn't say a word as he held out an Amtrak ticket for tonight leaving for Philadelphia

"Leaves at midnight "

I had no idea how to respond I mean I knew once I was back home I'd have friends I could stay with and it's not like my mother gives a shit anyway

"My mom will be home by then how the fuck can I sneak out ?"

"That is your problem if you want out I have the ticket you figure it out "

Jayden turned and walked back up the street toward his street

I was sure he wouldn't tell Jordan but yet I wondered if it would even matter at all if I left

I couldn't worry about that I had packing to do and I had to do it before my mother got home

At eleven thirty Jayden showed up at my door ticket in hand , his car parked at the corner so no one could see it

I snuck out my front door which wasn't hard because apparently my dear sweet mother decided hanging with the newest boytoy was more important than spending time with me

It was clearer to me now more than ever that I needed to get back to Philly
