I'd always loved everything about Sweet Pea. I mean, how could you not? He was six-foot-four of pure attraction. Not to mention that deep, velvety voice that would leave any girl weak in the knees. He loved that, too, Sweet Pea did. Just knowing he had that affect on girls.

And of course, he'd always had that affect on me. Even before he became a Serpent a few years back. Back when me, him, and Toni had just been kids growing up in the Southside AKA the slums of Riverdale. He'd just been another low-life hood then. Okay, well, maybe that part hadn't really changed. But now he'd made a name for himself.

He was Jughead's right-hand man, a prominent figure in the Serpents. But as surprising as it was, that never changed our friendship, never affected us. Although, after being accepted into the Serpents, things had begun to change between us. Or rather, they had already started before and I just now noticed them because of all the newfound girls attracted to Sweet Pea. Over the years, I...had developed feelings for Pea. I don't know how and I certainly don't know why but I did.

And I'd even convinced myself that nothing could work out between us now that he was in the Southside Serpents, that maybe he'd just forget about me completely with his newfound friends. But that just wasn't Pea. He never forgot his roots or where he came from. Or who got him to the point he was at today. It didn't take him that long to finally come clean and I admit, I was shocked when he'd asked me to be his girlfriend, changing everything between us forever. But it was what I wanted - more than anything. So I said yes.

Which is how I found myself waiting at the back entrance of the Whyte Wrm every Tuesday night like clockwork. Little did I know though that this was not a typical Tuesday. Suddenly, the back door squeaked open, the glowing red-lettered 'Exit' sign overhead popping sparks slightly as it did. A tall figure created a shadow over me as the person exited the building and I smiled, recognizing him instantly even if his features were obscured from view at the moment.

"Ready to go home?" I asked, smiling up at him.

I was about to turn away then, to head in that direction when his hand reached out to grasp my wrist, spinning me back around to face him.

I smirked, arching an eyebrow.

"What? Have to have a kiss now?" I couldn't help but taunt him.

His face was visible in the streetlamps overhead now but as my eyes wandered his familiar features, they couldn't help but land on a new marking I hadn't seen before. Peeking out just above the collar of his leather jacket in bright black ink was a serpent in the shape of an S. My eyebrows hit my hairline at that. He'd gotten a tattoo?! Ah, of course! He'd finally got his Serpent mark...

"Hey, stop making heart eyes at my tattoo," he teased me, smirking as he crossed his arms over his muscular chest.

I flushed scarlet, rolling my eyes as I met his gaze once more, "I was not, thank you very much!"

He grinned, taking a step closer to me so that he was now towering over my much-smaller frame. The strand of black hair that curled on his forehead moved across his skin as he did and I fought the urge to push it back like I always would.

"Yeah? So what were you doing just then, huh?" he taunted, smirking that same bad-boy smirk that always made me want to kiss him senseless.

I scoffed, a grin splitting my face as an idea came into my head. He wanted to be a tease now, did he? Fine. Two can play at that game. Before he had the time to even react, I grabbed onto his shoulders, pushing him down slightly as I leaned up on the tips of my toes to press a gentle kiss to his neck, right on his fresh tattoo. He hissed sligthly at the contact before I heard his breath even out, a slight whimper escaping his lips as I continued to press butterfly kisses there before finally, I broke away.

Sweet Pea's face was flushed scarlet now and his mouth slightly ajar, making me giggle as I turned to sashay down the street ahead of him.

"Oh, come on!" he called out after me, making me chuckle, "Don't be such a tease!"
