Bonus 2: A Special Question

Izuku was unbelievably nervous, trying to calm himself as he waited outside your apartment. This was the most nervous he'd felt since he confessed to you nearly eight years ago. You two were barely 15 at that point, but you'd still accepted and reciprocated his feelings, starting your relationship.

And you were still together now, just as in love as you were all those years ago.

I can't believe it's been eight years...

You two had been through so much together, it still amazed Izuku at times that you had chosen him of all people. You graduate from UA together, went into your respective fields together, and stayed at the others side through everything.

You, personally, had been hired right out of high school by one of the biggest support companies in the area, and had been working on hero costumes and support items for the last five years, while Izuku was working his hardest to become the number one hero still, and he was moving up in the polls and ranking quickly.

You were both doing amazingly well and life couldn't get better.

Well...maybe.

When he knocks on your door, Izuku feels all his courage leave him and he's questioning everything again, but when you open the door and give him a bright smile, he feels confidant again.

"Hi, Izuku!"

"H-Hi, (Y/N)-chan! Are you ready to go?"

You nod, grabbing your purse real quick before stepping out and locking your apartment door. "All right, so, what have you got planned for our anniversary?"

Izuku's thoughts leave him this time, as soon as you grab his hand and the two of you start to leave your apartment building. You had this strange effect on him sometimes, even after being together for so many years. Sometimes seeing you gave him confidence that all would be fine and he could do whatever it was he needed to, other times you took his breath, thoughts, everything away.

He was that much in love with you and knew you felt the same about him.

"Izuku? You in there?" you poked him a bit and giggle when he finally looks at you, a slight blush on his cheeks as he asks you to repeat what you'd said. "I asked what you have planned for tonight!"

"O-Oh! Right!"

As he explains the plans to you, you can't help but notice he seems a bit lost in his own thoughts, and he's sporting a constant blush on his face. It was your anniversary, but you'd had several others before this and Izuku hadn't acted this way since your first anniversary. Back then it was because he still couldn't believe you two were in a relationship, that you loved him the way you did.

You felt the same back then but had gotten over the insecurities that caused you to feel you weren't worth it, the fears that made you think Izuku was going to get bored of you because you weren't trying to be a hero. You spent your time working at an office and at home, designing hero costumes, fixing costumes, and making new support items. It was almost like a basic office job, except you were doing so much more.

But you knew he was proud of you and happy to be with you. He told you so almost every day, and you were just as proud of Izuku.

Nothing was going to change that.

The evening went off without a hitch and it gave Izuku more confidence than he had expected. Your dinner went well and you were both happy with what you ordered, to the point you shared with each other. Next, you went and saw a movie that you both had been practically dying to see and spent a long time talking about it afterwards, taking a walk through the nearby park while you did so. You both avoided discussing work since it was your anniversary, you didn't need to talk about that boring stuff tonight.
