"(Y/N)-chan, there's no need to be upset!"

You were pouting as you sat at a lunch table with Izuku, waiting for the rest of your friends to get there. Izuku was trying his best to cheer you up, but you weren't having any of it, it seemed, and it made him a bit worried about you.

After internships had ended and everyone was back, you found yourself struck with a sore throat that refused to go away. You didn't think much of it, assuming it was allergies until you woke up one day unable to speak at all. Your mother immediately decided you needed to go the hospital and get checked out, and that's when you were told you had a bad infection that could be treated temporarily with antibiotics, but you would need to have your tonsils removed as soon as classes were out for the summer.

That's why you were pouting. There was going to recovery time that would keep you from working on your projects in your free time, and you wouldn't really be able to talk much for a few days either. So, while your mom was excited to be able to baby you for a while you recovered, you were upset that part of your summer was going to be spent having surgery and then being stuck home resting.

It made you mad.

"You're just going to have your tonsils out, it won't be that big a deal! You'll be recovered in no time as long as you listen to your doctor's instructions!"

"That's not the point, Izuku!" your voice cracks a bit and it makes you blush while Izuku laughs, and you turn back to pouting at your lunch with your arms crossed. "I had plans for the summer."

"You won't be recovering the whole time! You'll still get to do everything you wanted! Oh! And once I get back from the training camp, we can spend some time together!"

You nod a bit, then smirk and say "Or...you could throw your finals and stay here with me."

"What?? (Y/N)-chan! I can't do that!"

You nod and giggle a little. "It was a joke, sweetie. I don't want you to fail!"

"Good, because I really can't!"

You two laugh for a bit, and Izuku watches you as you slip a bit further down in your seat. He knew you weren't happy about having to put your plans aside, but he also knew you hated the idea of surgery and didn't want to deal with it, but you would to get rid of the infection and to keep from getting anything worse in the future.

"I'll be leaving for the training camp the morning of your surgery, so you can text all you want, ok?"

"Yeah..."

"Hey."

You look over at Izuku and see he's smiling at you, and it makes you want to smile as well, but you're at the point you really don't want to.

"It's gonna be ok, yeah? You'll be just fine!"

His positive attitude and the smile on his face get to you, making you smile and nod, sitting up and leaning against your dear boyfriend.

"Yeah, I know."

That Saturday, you find yourself at the mall with Izuku and the rest of his class, minus Katsuki and Shoto. All of Class 1-A was preparing for their training camp trip, and decided that going to the mall to pick a few items up was a good idea. You somehow ended up being separated from Izuku, getting pulled by Mina to help her decide on some outdoorsy clothes that she could purchase for the camp. You found a few things you liked too and got them, before telling Mina you were going to go find Izuku and help him with whatever he needed to buy as well.
