Internship 2 [10/20]

Your internship request had been received and approved. You were beyond excited when you got the news from your homeroom teacher, instantly calling Izuku, who was already on his way to his internship, and excitedly telling him all the details.

You would have the same mentor as Mei, who would help you both with improving your Quirks while also giving you guidance on various support items, but also helping you with costume redesigns and repairs. Your mentor was going to be from one of the biggest support companies in the area, you couldn't believe it.

Izuku congratulated you right before his phone suddenly cut out, and you mostly heard static coming through the received. You weren't sure if he could hear you, but you quickly told him good luck for the week and to text you if he wanted to talk, since it seemed like he was going to in the middle of nowhere.

That was three days ago. You and Mei had been constantly working on your projects and getting guidance for your Quirks, while you also got to work on the costumes of a few second-year students, not first years this time.

You two had been at the school until late in the evening each day so far, your mentor not minding at all. She would tell you stories about when she was in the support course, giggling over silly things and talking about her successful and disastrous projects. While Mei took the time to speak to hear, you were working on a costume when you received a text.

Grabbing your phone, your eyebrows furrow a bit seeing it was from Izuku, but was simply his location. No message or anything else.

"Hosu? What's he doing there?"

Izuku wasn't the kind of person to send a message with no context, nor was he one to show off the fact he was in such a big city. But when you try to call, you get sent to voicemail, wondering if maybe he made a mistake.

Izuku...please be ok.

"The Hero Killer?!?"

The next morning you get a call from Izuku, who explains exactly what happened and you're in shock. He, Shoto, and Tenya had taken on the Hero Killer Stain, before Endeavour showed up and took over, finishing the battle (you felt like that was a lie, but you would trust what he said). Izuku had been injured on his leg and had a few cuts and bruises. Shoto had a few cuts but nothing else, while Tenya had the worst of it, both his arms in slings and having tests done on them. You couldn't believe it. Sometimes it seemed like Izuku was just a magnet for trouble and injuries (accident prone much?) but you were relieved to hear he and your other friends were fine otherwise.

"Good gosh, Izuku, you just end up injured every time something big happens!"

"Yeah...hey wait—"

You laughed at Izuku's reaction when he realized when you said. Hearing your laugh made him laugh a bit as well.

"I guess it does seem that way, huh?"

"I'm honestly just glad you three are ok. Thank goodness Endeavour was around!"

"A-Ah...yeah...we're grateful he showed up when he did."

"I am too."

After a few minutes of talking about your internships so far, Izuku sounding impressed by yours and you being confused but amused by his when he told you about Gran Torino, you heard Mei calling for you to come back because your mentor wanted to look over the costume you had been working on, you asking her to wait just a moment.

"I gotta go, Izuku."

"Oh, ok, no problem! Have a good day!"

"I will! You get better fast, ok? I'll text you later!"
