The first real day of break was the day of your surgery. It was late in the morning so you'd had the time to text Izuku for a while, telling him you were nervous and having him reassure you that everything would be ok. He sent you several cute emojis and well wishes texts, they all made you smile and feel less scared.

Your surgery came and went easily, your doctor calling it a success and allowing your parents to take you home that afternoon. You tried texting Izuku when you were awake enough, but when he didn't respond, you figured he was either busy or in an area where he had no service. It didn't matter too much, you just let him know that you were home and doing well. Most of your day was spent sleeping and recovering from the anesthesia, while your mom kept babying you and giving you whatever foods or drinks you wanted, so long as they didn't hurt your throat too much.

You did get a text from Izuku later that night, telling you he was glad and relieved to hear that your surgery went well. He even said he would have called you, but knew you wouldn't be able to say anything so texting was obviously the best option.
