Izuku smiled as he read through the messages from your friends and family while you slept. It had been just a little over five hours since he'd sent the first text announcing the birth of your son, and you were getting all the rest you could while your newborn was in the nursery being cared for.

Your little boy had put you through a lot the last 24 hours. You'd woken up that morning, sometime after Izuku had left for the day, to a strange pain in your stomach. At first, you figured it was nothing but those darned Braxton Hicks contractions that your doctor had said you'd been having, so you didn't think anything of it.

Until you went to get out of bed and the pain was worse than you had originally thought. You were barely able to stand up, and you knew exactly what was happening when you felt your water break as soon as you got yourself up. You were in labor and it seemed to be progressing faster than you expected. You quickly called Izuku to try and get him home right away to take you to the hospital, and he did start working his way back to your home, but when he wasn't there ten minutes later, he told you to get your parents to take you and he'd meet you at the hospital, which you did. Your dad came and got you as soon as you called, rushing you to the hospital and getting you all checked in.
