"Internships huh?"

You stare at the piece of paper your homeroom teacher has given you, reading over the requirements for Support Course students. Since you hadn't been able to participate in the Sports Festival, you didn't get to show your work off to potential buyers or investors and support companies, so none of them had recommended you for internships.

However, there were several costumes for Class 1-A and 1-B students that needed repairs and redesigns, and you had requested to be allowed to work on those as your internship. You weren't sure if it would be allowed, but you really wanted to help with these.

After all, you'd just finished repairing a costume with a group of professionals and other students a few weeks ago, and it made you realize that not only did you enjoy creating support items, but you also really liked working on costumes

When you'd told Izuku about it, you joked that maybe you'd become a costume designer instead of a support items creator. Even though he had told you that he'd support you if you did so, you didn't want to only design costumes. You wanted to do both things and maybe there would be a chance that you got to do that someday, who knows?

Right now, you were focused on getting permission for redesigning and repairing costumes to be part of your internship. When you make this request to your homeroom teacher, they stare at you and ask if you're sure.

You nod, saying "When I helped with that costume design a few weeks ago, I realized I really like dealing with costumes themselves! Not just support items! I know it's probably weird to want to stay behind and help here, but sensei, I think that would be best for me since I didn't get to participate in the Sports Festival this year. So...would it be ok?"

Your teacher sighs after a moment of thinking and shrugs. "I don't know. But if you're so adamant about it, I'll put in a request with the principal and one of the support companies. I'm sure one of them can send someone out to help you because I know your work ethic. Mei has requested to stay behind as well and will be having a mentor come from a support company as well, perhaps they can send two..."

You grin and now, bowing as thanks. "I'm grateful!"

"Yeah, yeah. You should get going for your lunch, your boyfriend has been waiting for you outside the door for the last five minutes."

Hearing that makes you blush a bit, but you also smile and nod, quickly putting away the stuff on your desk and running out the door, surprising Izuku.

"Let's go eat, Izuku!!"

"A-AH. Y-Yeah!"

+!+

"Oh, so, you're staying behind for your internship?"

"Mm-hm!" you nod while swallowing a bite of food, then smile at Ochako. "I didn't get the chance to show off at the Sports Festival, so my homeroom teacher is going to get permission for me to stay behind and have a mentor come here from a support company! Mei is doing the same, so I won't be alone!"

Uraraka grins and says "That's great then! You'll have a friend with you!"

"And," Izuku looks at you with his own smile, "it's possible you could get scouted by whatever support company they get your mentor from!"

"Midoriya is correct! You're likely to get an offer from them again next year if you do well enough!" Sometimes you forget Tenya is there until he speaks, but hearing all your friends reassure you is a great help.

Just having friends in general is helpful. Izuku and Katsuki were your best friends as child, your only friends for a long time, until middle school. That's when you broke off a bit from them and began to make friends with some of the girls in your school, but you still spent a lot of time with your boys (they'd always be your boys, no matter what happened). Once you got in UA, you found yourself spending a lot of time with the girls in Class 1-A, specifically Ochako and Mina. When they had heard you were childhood friends with Izuku and Katsuki, they latched on and started asking all kinds of questions about your little group, and you ended up enjoying their company and becoming friends with them.
