When Jungkook was told that there was an 8th member joining them, he didn't care. Until they announced that it was a girl and she was the new maknae. That infuriated him. Someone else was snatching his title away from him in seconds.
When Jennie was introduced to everyone, the only who who kept a cold face on was Jungkook, but Jennie didn't think much of it, she thought it was just because he had a bad day.
Months past and Jungkook didn't speak a word to her. Jennie knew he must've not like her, and she ignored that thought.
After many comebacks, the rest of BTS realised that Jennie and Jungkook weren't bonding well and they knew something was wrong. Only Taehyung knew what was happening in Jungkooks head.
Even after a year, they only spoke if it was about work or something important. Jennie was clueless on what she did wrong, so she never spoke about it to anyone.
Jungkook finally realised that he was being petty and that he was acting immature and childish and tried to apologise to Jennie for the misunderstanding.
They have since became bestfriends and nothing could tear them apart.
