I blinked once processing her request.
"You what?" I asked her, looking at her as if she has grown two heads, which really shouldn't be shocking judging by the amount of creatures I've come across in my long life.

"I want to come with you. Like be your companion or travel buddy or whatever. I'll even settle for being your slave." She answered me.

She looked desperate. Like she needed this more then anything.
"Please. I'll do anything. I'll pay you. I'll do menial tasks. I'll even let you use me anyway you want. Just please, take me with you."

She was practically begging me.
'Wow, I never thought I'd see the day where a vampire begs. The cockiest of occult beings to ever exist and here one stands, begging.' I thought as I looked at her.

Something in me told me to allow her to come with me. The way she looked at me made my heart flutter and her presence close to me excited me a little bit.

'It wouldn't hurt to have a little company.'
I thought.

"Ok. You can come with me."
I finally answered. She seemed to be happy about my decision.
So much so that she engulfed me in a hug. It felt weird because it made me feel...I don't know exactly what it made me feel but it's different from any other physical contact I've had.
'Whatever, it's probably nothing.'

She pulled away and looked at me happily.
"Well, I'm going to assume that you don't have anything with you right now so I'll wait here for so you can pack a bag or something. Just pack as light as you can or whatever." I told her. She nodded and zoomed away to, where I assume is where she was staying.

A couple of minutes later she came back with a backpack.

'I guess she took the "pack light" seriously. Good, that means she listens, could come in handy.'

"Ok follow me." I told her as I started walking. "Are we walking?" She asked as she fell into step with me.
"No. I've got a truck and caravan. We just need to walk to where I've got it hidden."

She nodded again and we walked in silence for awhile till I broke it.

"Ok so there's a few conditions and things you should know since you're going to be around me. I don't really need anything from you like you offered. All I ask is that you don't interrupt my rituals and not touch anything I tell you not to, and most importantly, listen to me, always. Just don't mess with my stuff and we'll get along swimmingly."
She was staring at me as I explained some more things to her, but I don't think she was actually listening.
It looked like she was staring at my lips but I'm probably just imagining things.

We finally reached the hiding spot and I told her to step back. With a light flick of my wrist the vines moved away and the spell wore off.
I made my way to the drivers side and step in, only to notice that she was still standing in the same spot as before, her face holding an awed expression.

"Yo, you coming or what?"
"Sorry, I've just never seen, magic like that before." She said as she stepped in.

I started the truck and we were off, driving to wherever, with some music playing softly on the radio.
Minutes later I realized I didn't know the hot strangers name.
"Hey, what's your name by the way? And how recent was your turning?" I asked, focusing on the road.

"I'm Ruby. Ruby Rose. And why do you want to know about my turning?" She turned to me, with a sceptical look.
"I only want to know because you obviously are very, for the lack of a better word, New. I can tell by the way you act and the inaccurate ideas you have about supernatural beings that you obviously read from some book that was written in a humans point of view.
So, tell me when you were turned and what exactly your story is." I lightly ranted to her. I didn't mean to sound so rude or invasive but I really need to know what her deal is.
"I'm Toni by the way. No last name because I don't need one."

She looked at me silently before sighing and looking ahead to the moonlight road we drove on. I suddenly felt a little bad for some reason, like I felt guilty for bringing up something she doesn't want to talk about.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I'm just being no-"
"No it's ok. I'll tell you, it's the least I can do." She looked at me again smiling slightly.

"Ok." I said simply, trying to hide my eagerness to find out more about this beautiful stranger.
