Ruby's pov

There's silence as Toni drove. She's beautiful, even more so up close. I know that it was really creepy of me to follow her around but I had to make sure she was really what I suspected. And it was like something was drawing me to her, like I needed to be around her for some reason.

I let out a sigh before telling her my story. I need to explain to her why I asked to come with her. Maybe she'll be able to help get rid of those assholes that are after me.

"Ok well, a hundred years ago or something, I ran into some trouble with this group of guys that I stole from. So the decided to jump me in an alley to try and beat the shit out of me. Obviously I can hold my own but 1 against 4 is not a fair situation."
She turned at me a surprised and a little angry.
"Why the fuck would grown ass guys think it's ok to beat up a chick just because she stole?"

I laughed a little at the reaction. "It's fine, I could fight back." Her reaction made me a little happy for some reason, the thought of her caring made me...happy.
"Ok fine, carry on."

"Ok so as I was getting my ass kicked but still fighting back, one of them stabbed me at least 4 times and they left me there to die. I was really convinced that was it for me till these 2 really well dressed guys came up to me. They said they could help me stay alive if I agreed to be turned into a vampire and help them out with some item they needed to get. I agreed immediately because I really didn't want to die. So after that painful process I passed out and woke up in some fancy but spooky house. When I asked those guys why they helped me, they just told me because they saw some potential in me and they were recruiting new members for their clan."
She looked at me again, seeming intrigued by my story.

'I wonder if she's interested in me too.' I thought to myself as I studied her features, getting distracted from continuing with the story.
Her hair is curly flowing down just below her shoulders, black from the roots then changing to an icy grey-blue colour. It's a colour I never even imagined but it went so well with her golden brown skin that seemed to sparkle in the light of the moon. Her amber eyes glowing as she stared at me. My eyes drifted to her dewy full lips that kept me hypnotized as they moved.

"Yo, Ruby, snap out of it. Finish the story."
"Sorry, I just got distracted. Anyway," I turned away from her, a little embarrassed from getting caught.

"After those guys "recruited" me, they told they needed me to help then out with getting something from this woman that belonged to the clan. They said it would be like some sort of initiation. I managed to to get that box and when I came back, I overheard them talking to someone about me." I took a deep breath, the things I heard made me angry.

"They were the ones that sent the asshole's to kill me. Apparently, their boss needed because of some prophecy." This shocked her.

"Prophecy? Did you manage to hear more about the prophecy." She asked.

"Yeah, a little. Apparently I am a "Royal Blood" and I'm destined to be the most powerful vampire to ever exist or whatever. And the thing I was supposed to take had something to do with that. I didn't hear the whole thing though. But what freaked me out was the fact that their boss only wanted me to, as she said, steal my prophecy and get rid of me so she can gain power.
So I ran, with the box. I figured that if I disappeared, I wouldn't have to go through with this prophecy business and they wouldn't get me. I think I managed to loose them coz it's been awhile since they found me.
And I figured that you could help me out, hence following you." I finally finished, hoping she'd understand why I did what I did.

"It's still creepy, but I get why you followed me. And as for the prophecy stuff, bad news for you. You can't escape it. Your fate has been designed for you and all you can do is accept it, embrace it. Trust me, I know." She told me facing the road.

"And I'll help you, to find out more about it and to get rid of the asshole's after you." She smiled the most beautiful smiled ever seen that made my heart go to a frenzy. I smiled back, "Thank you, Toni."
