"You actually met her?! That's insane!" My brother, Dominic, yells as I retell the story of meeting the Moon Goddess.
"Calm down Dom..." I try to say nonchalantly but I can still feel the excitement bubbling inside me.
All throughout the remainder of the drive back home, Ruby and I have been processing this new information. We had even decided to take a break for a minute just to lay down.
As soon as we had arrived at the hidden beach I call home, my mom's literally appeared from nowhere and engulfed me in a long hug filled with murmurs about how much they missed their little girl. It was so sweet and great to be in their arms again but they eventually needed to let me go so I could breathe again.
When they pulled away, they eyed Ruby who was standing awkwardly by the truck. I gestured for her to come forward and introduced her before they could ask.
"Mom, Mamma, this is Ruby. She's going to be part of my life for a really long time so don't be weird." I tell them, sounding like I was introducing a girlfriend, if only she we're my girlfriend.
"What do you mean by 'part of your life'?" My mom, Ivy, asked with a perfect eyebrow raised and a slight scowl on her face, eyeing Ruby suspiciously then glaring at our intertwined fingers. She's the more strict mom, always giving you warning looks and intimidating people with her dark and powerful personality, and she's always wearing black, sometimes white or other colours. She's like the epitome of a gorgeous and almighty witch. She's really sweet though when it comes to her family, she just gets really overprotective, especially with me.

"Honey, stop. Let her explain before you get all psycho mom again." Said my other other mother, Iris. She is almost the exact opposite of Ivy, so colourful and carefree just like her name which means rainbow. She's basically a beautiful hippie witch. It always baffled me how they even got together but they are such a perfect match it's beautiful.
'I wish Ruby and I could be like that one day...'
