I took a deep breath before I started to sing. Every word flowing back to me, and remembering the day we created the song.
I wake up every morning to a bright, blue sky
And wish for the next surprise to come
It's been so long since I could walk alone
I'm not the little kid you ounce knew
I've finally moved on,
Found the courage I needed
Now I'm leaving today,
Not running away
So you can finally see the new morning you longed for
I'm gonna fight for what I believe,
I'm gonna shine above the crowd
I'm not the weakling I used to be you should've known that by now
I could bleed to death but I would still carry on
The sooner you realize that life is hard
The chances are you'll survive another day
I look up at the night sky filled with darkness
The moon and stars shine bright guiding me to a new day
I've grown stronger over the years
Protecting the things I love,
I've found the motive I needed
So I'm going to stand tall,
Not crumble into despair
And show no fear when the cry's of pain sing out
I'm gonna fight for the weak,
I'm gonna be the hero
I'm not the coward I used to be you should've figured it out
I could be beaten to death and you would still see me stand
The sooner you realize life is hard
The more you face reality
And when the rain falls the tears will leak out
As a reminder of the things we lost
Fear is something we can never forget, for we could fall into madness
So now as the sun goes down and the stars appear
Look into my eyes, Can you tell me what you see?
Can you see a bright and happy future?
I know life is hard, but we can face it together.
As I took another breath in and looked at them. They all looked shocked. "What's wrong? Are you guys ok?" I asked. I never had this reaction before. But then again the only person who heard me sing was Sheila.
Their expressions changed. They had smiles, and were clapping. " That was great Camie!" Ren said excitingly.
"Yeah that was cool," James said. I grew a smile.
" That was beautiful Camie! Where did you learn to sing like that?" Ray asked interested.
I shrugged and explained," When I was little I would sing along to every song, and over the years I got better." He nodded to tell me he understood. "But I love art more then anything!" I chirped in.
