It was Friday I only had a couple of more days in South Park. I spent most of the week at the hospital getting check ups making sure the arteries in my heart were fine. As always I was fine. When I walked out of my hospital room and saw Pete in the hallway talking to a receptionist.

"I'm freaking goth." He said flipping the fringe out of his hair. "Now, tell me where room 1-238 is." He said glaring. I smiled as I saw the flowers in his hand. He was trying to hide it from the receptionist's view. He probably didn't know I was getting out today. I snuck up behind him wrapping my arms around him. He turned around immediately. He gave me a smooth smile trying not to act too surprised. "I just found out this morning. You okay?" He whispered hugging me. I released him grabbing his arm.

"Perfect." I said pecking him on the lips. He handed me the flowers giving me another hug.

"What do you want to do to celebrate your release?" He asked. I smiled thinking a bit.

"Stark's Pond!" I squealed. He gave me a confused look. I gave him a puppy dog face and he couldn't help but smile.

"Fine, but no one better call me a conformist." He said moving the fringe out of his eyes. I smiled as we walked there in silence. Pete put his arm around me and I blushed seeing he wasn't being ashamed that I was his girlfriend. I took a seat on the grass putting my feet in the pond.

"What are you doing, you're gonna get your socks and shoes wet." I smiled at him.

"Come on Pete, it's not that conformist!" I shouted motioning him to come on in and walk in the shallow end. He smiled taking off his jacket and his purple shoes.

We walked through the shallow end not doing anything in particular. I took three more steps crushing something under my foot. I almost screeched picking it up. It was a fish. I immediately tossed it to Pete who caught it instantly. "Don't give it to me!" He shouted tossing it back into my hands.

"Well I don't want it!" I hollered, tossing it back as if it was a hot potato. He threw it at my face and I fell backwards into the water. I quickly resurfaced glaring at Pete. He began to laugh at me with his eyes closed. I smirked grabbing his hands and pulling him into the water with me.

He lay on top of me with a frown as I laughed at him. "I told you I'd take you down with me." He blew his fringe of his eyes and gave me a soft smile. I couldn't help but blush at how cute his damp hair was. He could barely blow the fringe out from his eyes. Our lips were inches apart and I was about to kiss him when I screamed falling back into the water.

"Whoa, what?" He nearly growled. My back was against the pond's floor as my hand searched for a stability. Anything that kept me balanced enough to prevent my hair from getting soaked. Instead I squished against the creature that made me scream in the first place. I quickly threw it at Pete. He gave me a dull look as it fell from his face.

"What's with you and fish?" He said helping me out of the water. I gave him a cheeky smile.

"They're icky scaly, and squishy, not to mention gross." He laughed shaking his head as he put his jacket onto my wet shoulders.

He took a seat next to me holding my hand. My feet were in the water and I expected him to do the same when he walked into the pond's shallow end. I rolled my eyes looking towards the sky for a couple of moments. Pete coughed loudly at least five times. I looked to him with a dull expression when I realized his stance. He was in the water kneeling. My eyes wandered to his hands as I saw a box. Tears quietly streaked down my cheeks as I looked at the ring inside the box. He smiled his damp wet hair in his face. He moved it with his hand before speaking. "Jade Miller, will you marry me?" He asked with a smile. I gave him a confused look and he quickly muttered something that made me chuckle nervously. "In six to ten years." I crossed my arms demanding an explanation. His smile turned dull as he explained to me. "Jade, I'm ten, I can't marry you now, but I'd be willing to when I'm sixteen to twenty years old, it's a... Pre wedding ring. I don't want to lose you especially to a butt fucking vampire. So what do you say?" He gave me another smile. I stood in the water giving Pete a kiss after seconds of this I whispered in his ear.

"I do..." He hugged me compassionately as I spoiled the moment. "You're such a conformist." I cooed. he tore away from me immediately. He shook his head.

"No, no conformist would have the balls to do what I just did. I know you still have to move but I'll always remember you Jade.... And love you... Okay that part was conformist." He smiled and we laughed together at the irony. He sat down on the dock putting the ring on my ring finger as I did the same. It was settled in my mind now, Pete was my one and only true love.
