Ellie POV

I walk quickly home to the apartment. I burst through the door and hurry into my room. I dig into my half filled wardrobe until I find it. My suit.

Since I've arrived here, and I didn't want to mention it to my dad, I've seen a lot of bad stuff going down, robberies and stuff like that. And no one seems to be doing anything about it. I know my Shadow suit was for emergencies only, but I can't help but want to go out and help people.

I put it on and stare at myself in the mirror. When I put my Shadow suit on, I feel like I can be a whole new person, a bad-ass bitch who can save people.

Suddenly, I hear glass smash outside my window. I peer out and see a group of men sprinting down an alleyway, carrying some stuff. Guess it's time to get down to business. It's time Queens is introduced to Shadow.

Peter POV

I'm sitting on top of a building staring down at the busy streets, with my suit on. Today has been particularly quiet, which is good I suppose, but bad cos I have nothing to do and no one to save.

Sometimes I wish I could be part of something bigger, like the Avengers! How cool would that be? But I guess that means my identity would be revealed, and that would screw everything up.

Suddenly, I hear glass smash and an alarm go off. I see a group of men running down one of the alleyways, holding a bunch of stuff I assume they've robbed. I swoop down and catch them by surprise.

"Hey guys! What's up?" I say, while webbing one of them to the wall. Another one charges at me, but I dodge him and punch him. Next thing I know, they all charge at me together, so I start to fend them off.

I'm doing pretty well, but one of them punches me and I fall to the ground. He points a gun at my head, but I can't fight back cos another one has his hand around my neck.

Suddenly, the guys are flung off of me onto the ground. I quickly get up to see all the guys being tossed around the place, by themselves?

There's no one there, but yet they're being flung everywhere, pretty badly may I add. Once they're all on the ground, someone appears out of nowhere in the middle of the alleyway. From what I can see, it's a female.

She's wearing a jet black suit that looks really high tech, and a mask that covers half her face, her eyes and nose. She has dark brown hair hanging loosely down her shoulders. Wow, she is pretty.

"Hey! That was so cool! How'd you do that? Were you like invisible or something?" I ask her, more excitedly than I meant to. She just looks at me. "I'm Pet- Uh, Spider-Man by the way" I say reaching out my hand.

She still stays perfectly still, and doesn't look impressed. "I don't associate with circus acts" she says harshly.

"Ouch. Is my outfit that bad? Well it is compared to yours!" I say. She doesn't reply.

"Well, who are you anyway?" I ask her. I need to know who this person is.

"And you care because?" She says sarcastically. I stare at her for a moment to try and figure her out. Then I notice "Shadow" written across her wrist.

"Shadow? Wow that's an amazing name" I say. She sighs and turns around to leave but I stop her. "Wait!" I shout. She stops and turns around.

"What?!" She says angrily.

"Thanks, for helping me out back there" I say.

She nods slightly and jumps onto the wall, and starts to crawl up it? She can stick to it like I can! "Wait how are you doing that? Is it like adhesive gloves or something?" I call after her. She looks down on me, and presses a button on her wrist, and she goes invisible again before she leaves.

I sigh to myself. "Shadow". Even her name sounds bad-ass. But how come I've never heard of her? Where has she come from? I need to find out more about her. I make a mental note in my head to google her later.

I jump onto the building and begin to crawl up it. Once I reach the top, I web another building, and another, and begin to make my journey home.

I reach the window of my room and creep inside. The door is closed so I know May won't hear me. I quickly change into normal clothes and sit at my computer. I type in "Shadow superhero" to see what comes up.

Once I press search, loads of articles come up about her. About things she's done, and people she's saved. She's even worked with the military?! That's insane! She really is as amazing as I thought.

She was really pretty too, even if I couldn't see her face. I need to see her again. Maybe if I wait around tomorrow I can catch a glimpse of her, and maybe talk to her. Wow. I'm seriously crushing on this girl. Even though she roasted me pretty badly.

Ellie POV

As I crawl up the walls to my apartment, the thoughts of the spider guy plays in my mind. He really has no idea how to fend off someone properly. Anyways, it's best I forget about him. I've got more important things to worry about, like Peter.

I creep into my room but as I do, I trip and fall onto the ground. All of a sudden, my dad bursts into my room. Shit. He's caught me out with the suit again. "Hey Dad! What's up? You're home early!" I smile awkwardly as I take the mask off. He doesn't look happy.

"You were out with the suit again?! Ellie I said that was made for emergencies only!" He says angrily. I sigh.

"I'm sorry! But I can't help it. There were people that needed saving!" I argue.

"Ellie, that suit was made for you to be able to defend yourself in times of need, not to go off and try and impress the Avengers or something!" He says.

"Me?! Impress Stark after what happened with Mom? Are you crazy?! I couldn't care less about the Avengers. I'm doing this so when they leave all the innocent civilians behind from their petty wars, there's someone there to help them and save them, even though it's their mess I'm cleaning" I say angrily, tears filling my eyes.

When the battle of New York happened, my mom was in one of the buildings, and guess who guided one of those centipede-looking things into it? Tony Stark. I looked up to him endlessly until that day, and since then I've never been a supporter of the Avengers.

My dad sighs and hugs me. "Just please be careful, and make sure no one finds out you're Shadow. It can cause a lot of problems" he says softly.

"I promise Dad" I reply.

"Anyways take that off you and get changed, then I can order a pizza and you can tell me about your first day" he smiles as leaves my room.

"Sounds good boss" I smile back.

I'm really close with my dad. I tell him everything, and he never judges me. I think that's why he knew he could trust me with the suit, he knew I'd be honest with him.

I've had the suit for about a year and a half now, but not all my abilities come from it. I've been trained in self defense, so that helps too. The suit is just to upgrade my performance and make things easier.

The only thing is, I can't tell anyone. I can rarely have people over, and I can't really hang out with people that much either. I have to keep quiet about my personal life to other people, which sucks.

I need to stay the quiet and quirky version of myself in school, and then I can be the bad-ass version of myself when I'm Shadow.

Then I get a realization, I'm going to see Peter again tomorrow! I start to get excited again. I really have a crush on him. He probably has a girlfriend, although, wouldn't she be sitting with him today at lunch?

Or maybe they go to different schools, and that's why he was hurrying after school today, to go meet her. Oh well. At least we can maybe be friends. It just hurts we can't be more. I guess I'll have to wait in school tomorrow to find out.
