Song: 'More Than You Know' by Axwell /\ Ingrosso
________________________________Ellie POV:
I wait anxiously outside the school gate for Peter to come out. I catch a glimpse of Flash hurrying out of the school, heading my direction. Once he sees me, he gets a scared expression on his face and turns away. I smirk to myself.
"Hey!". I turn around and see Peter. "Ready to go?" He asks. I nod and smile. I pray to God that I don't act awkward and embarrass myself. "You know, I haven't actually asked you how you're finding your first week here?" He laughs.
I blush a little. He actually cares? "Yeah it's been good I guess" I say.
"Just good?" Peter says raising his eyebrows with a smirk. AH, WHY DOES HE DO THIS?! I roll my eyes at him to try and seem casual, even though I'm dying inside.
"Why what am I supposed to say?" I reply.
"Uh, maybe how amazing the school is and how you have the best person ever to show you around?" He says, motioning towards himself.
"Alright, you got me there" I reply, smiling at him.
"So, I'm really hungry so we're gonna stop at Delmar's" he says.
"Where?" I say confused.
"Best sandwiches in Queens?" He says. I still don't know what he's on about.
"Okay, you are seriously uncultured! We are going there right now!" He laughs.
"Hey! May I remind you I've only been here a week!" I reply, pushing him playfully. He gasps in fake horror and pushes me back.
"Watch it! Or I'll do a Flash on you" I laugh. He backs off almost immediately.
"No but seriously. I don't think I actually thanked you for sticking up for me" he says.
"It's not a big deal" I shrug, trying to hide the small grin appearing on my face.
"Actually it is! That's the first time anyone has stood up to him! And the fact you had no hesitation, it's just never been done!" He exclaims.
This isn't good. He's getting on to me. I need to think of something to throw him off. "Deep down I was terrified!" I laugh nervously.
"Well it sure didn't look it!" He replies. Come on, think of something.
"So, where are we headed?" I say quickly.
"Oh, just up here" he says, leading the way.
We reach a small corner shop and Peter opens the door for me, being the gentleman he is. "Mr. Parker! It's good to see you" says a middle aged man behind the counter.
"Hey Mr. Delmar" Peter replies.
"So who's this? Did you finally get a girlfriend?" He laughs motioning towards me. Wait, does that mean Peter DOESN'T have a girlfriend?! Peter blushes a little.
"No, it's just a friend. This is Ellie. She's just moved here" He says.
I smile shyly at the man behind the counter. "So what are you guys having?" He asks us.
"The usual for me. What about you Ellie?" Peter asks me.
I'm about to reply when something on the TV in the corner catches my eye. "Video goes viral of what looks to be a female figure alongside Queen's very own Spider-Man fighting two criminals in an alleyway".
Shit! What have I done?! Now my dad will definitely see it if it's on the news!
"Ellie? Are you okay?" Peter asks me, waving his hand in my face. I gulp loudly.
