Sung to a slight variant of Greensleves

A loud and haunting melody
The frightful wind so clear will sing
About the future of the skies
And my own haunting demise
Forgotten, alone that’s all I am
A weeping willow near the sand
With ancient, deep, and sodden cries
A wilting home for all to hide
With broken branches and blackened leaves
My trunk does sway with every breeze
My heart goes out to every fiend
And night does reach every leaf
But when, oh, when will I stand
To rise above the broken sand
And when, oh, when will I rise
To fight the ever darkening tide
Oh, forgotten, alone that’s all I am
A weeping willow near the sand
With ancient, deep, and sodden cries
A wilting home for all to hide
Still, I stand my trunk still proud
I look down at the ground
I stand out from the skies
In the ocean my roots do lie
I keep an open, widened mind
So that all can be mine
I take apart the rocks so hard
And crack the bones near and far
‘Cause forgotten, alone that’s all I am
A weeping willow near the sand
With ancient, deep, and sodden cries
A wilting home for all to hide
A loud and haunting melody
The frightful wind so clear does sing
About the future of the skies
And my own haunting demise
Oh, forgotten, alone that’s all I am
A weeping willow near the sand
With ancient, deep and sodden cries
A wilting home for all to hide
Forgotten, alone, that’s all I am
A weeping willow near the sand
With ancient, deep, and sodden cries
A wilting home for all to hide
