The tragedy that started it all.
No more walking through the airport easily.
No more guns.
No more safety.
No more knowing. The people on the planes, scared to death.
Calling their families, saying their last I love you and their hardest goodbye.
Asking God for the forgiveness they needed.
Asking Him, "Why me?"
The tears streaming down their faces as they watched their world flash before them.
The few who risked their lives and fought back.
The workers in the towers, jumping to their deaths, because it was better than burning at the hands of the Devil.
The buildings, knocked down by one man's control.Everyone's tv's viewing the same horrific channel.
Watching their world collapse.
Their tears meaning the end of life.
Some not even knowing if hope was real.
Others waiting for their phone call from Death himself.
Asking God the same questions he got all day, "Why me?"
Children, wondering where their family went.
Thousands dazed and confused at what this meant.First responders, throwing their lives on the line, saving as many as they could.
The building collapsing as they try to do what they've been trained for.
The few who kept going, after days of no sleep.
Not finding survivors, but people who deserved another chance.
But never once giving up on their country.
Knowing exactly what this meant.
War.The military, tracking it for years, only to find it hiding in a cave.
Giving it what it deserved.
Fighting for the ones who never got to, and the ones who had no fight left.
Bringing justice and pride back to their hearts.
Trying to figure out how this ever started.
Never knowing.....
this really hits home because most of my family are first responders & firefighters & police. been crying all day:(song - alan jackson where were you
