19// Friday Night Football

Erika's Pov-
I laid in my bed still heated from what happened between Jake and I yesterday. I didn't know what I was gonna do. He was in my circle, so I couldn't just avoid him? And if I try to talk to him, I know we wont get anywhere. I'm stubborn, and so is he. We are too much alike to have a good conversation. What am I supposed to do?
Before I could think of anything else, Chance came through my door.

Chance: hey sis
Erika: what do you want?
Chance: geez, I just wanted to know if you were going to the football game tonight..
Erika: uh.. I kinda have to. I'm the head cheerleader.
Chance: Okay, so ride with me?
Erika: whatever, I'll be ready in an hour.
Chance: cool see you then.

I sigh and drag myself out of bed. I slip into the shower and wash up. As i get out I wrap my body in one of my towels, and sat in front of my vanity. I start with doing my makeup. I wanted and had to look my best, being the captain. I finish up with some highlight and unwrap my hair from the towel it was curled up in. I decided that I was going to just straighten it. I watched as I flat ironed my hair and my light brown hair dropped to my side, extended and perfect.
I finish up and go to my closet to put on my cheer outfit.
I walk downstairs and Chance, Anthony, Tessa, Logan, Jake and Hailey filled my living room. My eyebrow raised as I saw Hailey again. (DON'T HATE ME LOLOLOL)

Chance: You ready?
Erika: yup, hey everyone.
Logan: WOW HOT

I slightly giggle and playfully roll my eyes. Tension grew in the air as no one spoke up. Luckily Tessa broke the silence.

Tessa: Okay, so how are we going?
Chance: Well we can take two cars.
Logan: I'll drive my car.
Chance: I will too.
Erika: Ill go with Logan.
Anthony: I will too.
Chance: Okay, Tessa, Jake and Helen in my car.

I laugh because I knew that he did that for  me. Chance didn't hate Hailey, just didn't care much for her. I guess as long as she kept me away from Jake..
I shrug my shoulders and and walk out the door. The car ride there was just what I needed. Logan cheered me up and Anthony sang his heart out with me. I missed my two goofballs. They always knew how to change my mood.
As we arrive, the boys go to the locker rooms and I meet my cheer girls on the field. I brought Tessa with me because otherwise she would've been left with Hailey.

Erika: okay girls, get in formation and start going over the drills. I'm going to freshen up.

Tessa and I walked to the restroom. On our way Tessa saw one of her friends. She says she would catch up with me after the game and I just nod and smile. I went into the locker room and all the boys were in there chilling. (Lets pretend that there's only one locker room there lolz)
I quietly walk over to the restroom, and look in the mirror. My eyes start to get heavy and one single tear shed from my eye. I wipe it from  my face and apply more lip gloss.
I walk back out and almost get to the out the locker room but I hear the boys call out.

Jake: Hey what are you doing here?

I turn around slowly and see the whole team focused on me.

Erika: hey guys.. just wanted to say good luck.
Logan: THANKS BABE
Chance: careful Paul

I giggle and wink at Logan as I left the locker room doors.
I walk back to the cheerleaders and we practice a few times before the night finally began.

Jakes POV-
The boys and I were ready to walk out onto the field, when we heard the announcer speak up. "And now give a loud welcome to your Westlake Wildcat Football team!!!"
The crowd went wild, we all ran out one by one and I turned to see the stadium full of people in Maroon and White (School colors) and they all cheer as we make our way out.
Coach told us which plays we were going to start off with and Logan, Tony, Chance, Marc, Gorge, a couple other guys and I were starting.
As I lined up on the field, I could feel my heart pounding out of my chest. My first football game of the year. I was excited.
I look to my side and see Erika cheering on. Her smile so perfect. I miss her. I was over the fact that she kissed those other guys, but I can't let her off that easy. I decided to use Hailey to annoy her a bit, before I talk to her. I like Hailey, but not as a girlfriend, more like a toy. Sounds bad, but she's great at playing dirty.. If you know what I mean. 
 We start the first play and didn't score. That's how the rest of the quarter played out. We were down 14-0. I knew that we weren't in it. 
After the first quarter ended, Coach was a little mad. He started screaming a lot. 

Coach: YOU BOYS NEED TO GET YOUR HEADS IN THE GAME!! 
Team: Yes coach
Coach: AND PAUL KEEP YOUR EYES OFF THE CHEERLEADER! DON'T THINK I CAN'T SEE YOU STARRING
Logan&Jake: Yes Coach 

I looked over at Logan who also answered and squinted my eyes in confusion. Chance and I made violent eye contact. He didn't like the idea of his sister and I. I understand, but I just cant help myself.

It was fourth quarter and the pep talk coach gave us helped a bit. It was a close game. 35-37. We were down two and there was about half a minute left. Coach had us run a play that guaranteed a touch down.  "Down Set HUT HUT" (LMAO THIS IS A FOOTBALL THING RIGHT?) Logan screamed and Tony and I ran down the field. As Chance ran long, he passed it off to Logan. Everyone from the other team was chasing Logan, but that was the tactic. He passed it to me, being widely open. I caught the ball and sprinted as fast as I could down the field. I knew this one was mine. Just as my foot hit the touchdown line, I heard the crowd cheer.  I threw the football down and ran over to the boys. 
We jumped up and down, as we took in the first victory of the season. I couldn't wait to celebrate. 
We got showered and changed in the locker room after the game and the squad and I all met up. 

Chance: So, celebration at whos house? 
Erika: Lets do it at our house. I have to change and shower. 
Logan: Ouuuu *smirks*
Anthony: fine, the guys and I will go out and buy party favors and you two can go and get dressed. 
Jake: Yeah, and by the way Haileys coming. So you guys better be nice. 
Tessa: wait, we are nice!?
Logan: Yeah! We love Holly!!

Erika laughs and i give her a death glare. She quickly stops and turns away. 

Jake: I mean it guys, I want her to be comfortable. 
Chance: Dude, as long as its not you and Erika, I'm good on whatever female you're with 
Erika: O-kay time to go. Tess, lets go. 

We all leave and drive our separate ways.

OOOPS. Hailey's bacccccck. Guys I'm back too. I will post a chapter tomorrow. Love yall. Next chapter will def have a jerika moment (;
