Chapter 21 - The Day

Ethan's POV:

I woke up and looked around. Today is the day. I'm so excited. He deserves it he really does.

Both couples were still cuddling on their respective mattresses. They were so cute.

The door creaked slightly and I looked over Simon's mom stood there looking at the couples like I just was. Then she noticed me.

"Oh hi Ethan I didn't realise you were awake. I was just coming to wake you all up. Big day today isn't it." She was in on the surprise because we had to keep Josh here whilst we were setting up. "They're so cute aren't they"
"Yeah" I replied
"I'm just so happy they all found people who truly love them."
"Me too" We both smiled at each other and then JJ stared to wake up

"Morning Susan" He said noticing her in the doorway
"Morning JJ" She replied "You two are in charge of setting the surprise up today aren't you"
"Yeah" I replied "I don't know why though we're probably the worst two people to be chose" I said
"True" JJ agreed

The others then woke up.

"So what we doing today cause my boss gave me the day off?"Josh questioned
I thought about the fact that during the week Simon rung Josh's boss and begged for him to have today off.
"Well me and JJ have got to go home but you three can do something" I lied
"Yeah I was thinking we could teach Vik to play football it would be so funny" Simon said
"Okay" Josh replied
"Good luck" Vik said and we all laughed.

JJ and I got dressed and left the others still at Simon's house. We had to go into town to 'get' the surprise and I was so excited but nervous at the same time.

"Oh my god. Calm down man." JJ said to me.
"I can't I'm excited but nervous. What if the surprise doesn't get here on time and they have to stall more or what if we spoil it on accident" I rambled
"Ethan, mate it'll be fine I promise."
"Are you sure what if the surprise is actually bad and he hates it"
"I'm sure he won't you know how fondly he talks about 'it'. If he hated 'it' then I'm pretty sure he wouldn't talk about 'it' so much in a happy way"
"I suppose you're right"

We caught the bus into town and we're getting a lift back. We walked to where we were 'picking it up'.

*time skip*

It was set up. The surprise was in Josh's apartment. Simon gave me the spare key that Josh gave him so we could get in and get ready. I'm so excited. Now just to wait an hour for Simon and Vik to bring Josh here without making him suspicious that anything is going on. I can't wait.
