Chapter 14

Lukas pov

Emil had brushed the hair out of y/n's face and she blushed a bit. What the hell was with that?

After they both walked out, I grabbed Matthias and pulled him by the collar to me. "You saw?" I asked.

"Saw what?" Said the Dane. Of course this idiot didn't see it. "Emil and y/n."

"Ohhhhhh! Those two? Yeah they're totally dating!" I sighed and smacked him upside the head "no shit Matthias I can see that" I said rolling my eyes.

"Can you be any louder? I don't think the other side of the world heard you you mustard colored pine head" I smacked him again just because he was being loud and went to put away the paints.

"Hey! You don't have to be so mean! My hair is not mustard colored! It's a beautiful shade of sunshine!" He said huffing out and pouting making me roll my eyes at his ridiculous come back.

"Those two aren't very good at hiding things" I said changing the subject. "Yeaaah reminds me of the time when y/n tried to hide the fact she planned a surprise party for you!" He chuckled.

I couldn't help the small smile that crept on my face with that memory. Y/n was like a little sister and I was so glad to have met her.

"Well at least one of them finally said something, I bet it was y/n. She has more guts than Icey" I thought about it and I believed Matthias for a bit but then remembered how y/n had been like towards dating.

Emil finally got the courage to ask y/n.

"It wasn't y/n Dane. Remember when you asked her out? She rejected you. But I know she genuinely liked you but she cared more about your safety. She wouldn't have confessed to you. Emil confessed to y/n, I don't know how he convinced her to actually be with him."

After finishing up, Matthias stretch and fell on my bed. "Norge I'm just gonna sleep here" he started snuggling up against my pillows and fresh covers. God dammit Matthias.

I got on the bed and quickly kicked him off. "Not on my bed you're not." Soon I heard the door open and close and a voice echoed through the house "Lukas! Emil! I'm home!" The voice belonged to my mother and I quickly got off the bed and the Dane off the ground.

We went downstairs to say hi to her. "Hi mom how was your day?" I asked hugging her and kissing her cheek. Being shorter than me I had to bend slightly. Her blue eyes sparkling at the sight of both Matthias and I. Her white hair had fallen a bit out of what used to be a neat bun.

"Oh Matthias! I'm so glad you're here! I was just about to go grocery shopping! It's my husband's turn to cook tonight and I would love to have you over." She said hugging Matthias who gladly returned the gesture.

"It would love to stay Mrs. Steilsson, let me just tell my parents so they don't wait up for me." He said smiling that signature dork smile of his.

My mother smiled before she turned to me and started fixing the navy blue sweater vest I was wearing over a white button up. "Lukas, honey, where's your brother? Is he out with y/n? I noticed those two have been around eachother quite often. Is y/n no longer your best friend?"

I felt myself stiffen up at that. I cared about y/n and loved her very much. Everytime someone said anything about her not being my best friend put me into defensive mode. I almost lost it had Matthias not intervened.

"Actually, y/n and Lukas are still two halves of a whole nerd but actually Emil and y/n are dat-!" "Y/n is Emil's girlfriend." I cut off the Dane after I regained my composure.

"Oh my goodness! My little boy finally has a girlfriend!?" She smiled happily her eyes widening brightly as she clapped her hands together. "Well I can't wait to invite y/n for dinner and have him introduce her to us as his girlfriend!"

"You already know y/n, mother. Why would that be necessary?" She playfully rolled her eyes as she went to take off the light purple scarf she had wrapped around her as well as black jacket.

"Oh Sweetie, you just don't get it!" She said as she went to the kitchen. I shrugged and turned to Matthias. "Should we have told her that?" I asked.

"Damn right! This is Icey's first girlfriend!" I thought about it. He hadn't even told us maybe he was trying to hide it for a reason? Or maybe he was just shy?
