Chapter 19

Emil's pov

-time skip to next day-

I had woken up a bit earlier that usual to go with Lukas to pick up y/n for school. I used to hate being associated with Lukas at school because I didn't want to live in his shadow. But now, with y/n being my girlfriend, I didn't mind.

We pulled up to her house and sat waiting for her. "Y/n usually comes out 5 minutes after I usually arrive so we'll have to wait before she comes out" Lukas said turning off the car and grabbing his phone.

"I guess we can wait, now I see why you leave a little earlier than I do despite taking a car" I grabbed my phone and decided to check my grades because why not?

A few minutes passed and I noticed myself constantly looking out my window to see if y/n would come out.

"How long has it been Lukas?"

"Emil, be patient, it's only been 2 minutes and you've already looked at her front door 50 times. Clingy much?" He said giving the slightest of smirks while pulling my cheek.

"No but apparently you are now will you stop I'm not little kid anymore" I said pushing his hand away and looking back down at my phone.

I get a notification from Matthias, it was a text and what it said made me confused.

Lame Dane: Did y/n go over to your house? I didn't see her room lights on last night. (A/n: He lives next door)

I furrowed my brows and looked back to her house. What is the stupid Matthias talking about? Sounding like a creep.

Despite that thought, it made my stomach turn. I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out the car. Ignoring the call of my brother asking me what I was doing. I knew he was following me.

When I got to the front door I immediately turned the knob and froze. Y/n, for your sake I hope you were just being careless and left the door unlocked, please be ok.

When I pushed the door the door open, or attempted to, I realized that it was bolted and I sighed in relief.

"Lillebror? What the hell was that? You just completely jumped out the car, ignored me, and proceeded to storm over to y/n's front door. Are you that impatient? Why not just call her?"

"I-I'm sorry it's just that Matthias sent me a text and I got worried and I wanted to make sure she was ok" was all I could say feeling guilt consume me.

Looking back at what I did it looked like I was being an ass.

"Emil maybe you need to take the day off, go back home and relax" lukas said placing a hand on my shoulder. But i shrugged it off. "Lukas, can we just check if she's ok first?" He nodded and I knocked on the door.

When no one answered we looked at eachother and called out her name, but when that didn't work we went back to the car.

"Emil, maybe she's already at school, she could have walked or caught a ride with Matthias" now that I think about it, it made sense.

She probably went to school earlier to get help on her math homework.

"Yeah you're right, but I doubt that she went with the Dane considering he's running over to us." I said pointing to the spiky blonde sea urchin running over to Lukas' car.

"Wait you two! I'm coming with ya!" He said causing Lukas to lock the doors before the Dane could get inside.

"Norge! Luke! Open up man! I wanna go with you guys!" He said banging on the windows.

"Matthias Køhler. If you break my windows I break the hollow shell that is your head." Lukas muttered with annoyance.

"But norge I need a ride!"

"What happened to your car?" I asked confused unlocking the door for him earning daggers from Lukas.

"I got grounded, apparently excessive amount of attempts to call y/n cell gets annoying during family movie night." He said with a shrug once he was in.

Lukas started the car and we were off.

"Why would you call y/n so many times?" I asked confused once again.

"Ohhh ice boy, are you jelly? Does little snowflake Emil feel like he being weplaced?" Matthias said pinching my cheeks and talking in baby talk.

"No you stupid yellow haired porcupine I'm just confused as to why you would call her so many times if you were busy" I said pushing his hand away from me.

"Well I was calling her because I noticed her back door was open and I was wondering if she knew. She didn't answer so I assumed she was asleep" he said with a shrug.

"Wait, her back door was open?" Lukas asked.

"Yeah" Matthias said nonchalantly.

"And she wasn't answering her phone" I asked.

"That's what I said" the Dane said obliviously.

"And you thought it was fine not to check on her?" Lukas asked. His grip on the steering wheel getting tighter.

"Well like I said I don't think she was ho-OH MY GOD!" Matthias yelled in realization.

"Matthias you fucking idiot y/n is probably hurt!"
