"You always knew how to defend yourself y/n." I heard a voice behind me say.
My eyes widened and I quickly turned around to see the face I so longed hoped to never see.
"I tried my best not to sneak up on you, of course you sometimes are too instinctive. Just look at your now bloodied knuckle my love." He smirks as he slowly gets closer.
"D-David..." I managed to barely sputter.
I dropped the pack of ice on the floor and suddenly breathing became hard to do. My legs began to feel weak and a shiver went through my spine. My hands shake and feel clammy and moist. My eyes blur then clear when a tear escapes, I'm hyperventilating and the world feels far away. Right now, I wish it was.
I can faintly see David get closer. "My dear y/n, I'm not here to hurt you. You don't need to get so scared my love" he said in a sickly sweet tone reaching out to feel my cheek.
I let out a small whimper and try to get back but the emotions get the better of me. My panic attack causes me to shake and I feel my legs give way. I wait for the impact of the floor but it never comes as I feel the toxic touch of David's arms catch me.
"I always said I'll be here to catch you if you fall, I told you you need me"
The most I can mutter are grunts I try to push him off me desperately. It's not working.
"Y/n, I'm here to save you from that disgusting disease Emil who has tainted your life. Worry not, I'll take care of him. I'll be the hero. I'll be YOUR hero" he whispers in my ear putting more emphasis on the word 'your'.
My eyes widen and I fight my ownself to be able to speak. "N-No!" Is all I can say.
"My sweet, save your breathe, everything will be perfect, just relax" he says and I quickly feel a cloth get put over my mouth and nose, my eyes begin to tear up and then slowly close. I do my best to fight the fumes.
I feel myself get weaker and weaker and the last thing I see is David's calm face before everything goes black.
