nadia walked to the place darius had texted her about with a smile on her face— her modeling career was stepping up and she was open to so many opportunities. she never knew she'd enjoy modeling. she loves it.
she opened the door, revealing a dark room with the lights then switching out as her friends yelled—
"SURPRISE!"
her mouth opened in shock, then forming into a smile. she immediately hugged darius as everyone else embraced in the hug, third-wheeling.
after hearing a couple of happy birthday nadia's, nadia approached darius as they sat alone together in one table.
"mr. chee has found so much new stuff for me, darius! i've been receiving exploding gmails and it's so great! i really think i enjoy this." nadia exclaimed.
"that's great." darius fake smiled; he was hoping she'd appreciate the party more but it looked like she was all caught up with her career.
"andddddd, adidas is even inviting me to their new product's event!" she said. "can you believe it?"
"i'm beyond proud of you, nads." darius responded, slurping onto his spaghetti.
"you okay? you seem a bit off." nadia asked concerned.
"yeah, i'm fine." he said.
"gotta take a picture of the happy couple!" johnny jumped in. "carson, would you mind getting my phone from my backpack please?"
"sure, john!" carson said back enthusiastically.
carson then headed to johnny's bag, grabbing johnny's phone inside and sipping the bag back. he unlocked his phone since he knew his password— and he could not believe his eyes.
it immediately opened to a ticket to canada.
"john, you're going to canada?"
"that's a ticket for someone else." johnny muttered.
"no, it has your name on it!" carson spoke, swiping to another picture of another ticket. "lauren is too?"
everyone's attention was brought to them.
"i'm not going to canada." johnny scoffed.
"you're leaving tomorrow?" annie said, going next to carson and peeking at the phone displaying.
"look, it's nothing really." johnny said as kenzie frowned.
"you know what, let's just take the picture." johnny said, grabbing his phone from carson.
"no, we shouldn't." darius said, disappointed.
"why are you acting like this?" nadia asked.
"maybe it's cause you're all caught up on your stupid modeling career!" darius went off.
"it's not stupid!" nadia yelled back.
"it's stupid that you forget i planned this whole thing for you!" darius said.
"why aren't you happy for me?" nadia spoke.
"i would've if you weren't that obsessed with it!" darius said, throwing his hands in the air.
"so, let me get this straight, the orlando's are going back to canada and nadia's obsessed with her modeling career?" carson said confused.
"i'm not!"
"we're not moving back to canada!"
"you know darius, if you think it's stupid, then maybe we should just break up!" nadia said. she didn't even mean it.
hayden stood there, wowed. he couldn't believe it. what was he going to do without johnny?
especially lauren?
"if that's what you want then," darius said. "guess we're broken up."
brynn and annie teared up while kenzie ran off to the bathroom.
"why didn't you tell us?" hayden asked, quietly. he didn't want to get mad at anyone. he never does. he thinks it's unnecessary.
"it's not that easy-" lauren said.
after that, everyone left. all alone. mad and sad while kenzie was puking in the bathroom.
