kenzie sat in her room all alone; she was lying on her chest, with both her legs moving back and forth while looking into her laptop screen. the party with her friends had been alright. lauren or johnny didn't show up which made her think a lot. the fact that it had been 10:56 pm and raining, it made her think even more.
while doing so, her stomach had felt weird, her mouth was feeling strange too. she noticed she had the urge to vomit.
running to her bathroom, she puked. her barfing had been distracting her, as she didn't hear the doorbell that just rang as mommy mel let whoever rang the doorbell enter their home.
after cleaning herself, she switched off the lights and opened the door just to see a special someone.
lauren.
the two had been silent for a good amount of moments, just looking at eachother and looking around.
"you okay?" lauren questioned concerned as kenzie looked at the ground, still by the bathroom door. "i'm fine, really," kenzie mumbled.
"sorry i couldn't make it to the party today. the flight got delayed by a lot," lauren grinned, giving a small smile. "happy birthday by the way!"
"it's fine." kenzie responded.
"so um— do you want me to sleep on the floor or do i stay with you on the bed?" lauren asked.
"it's alright laur," kenzie smiled. "i'll be in maddie's room."
"you sure? come on, kenz!" lauren chuckled.
"it's alright." kenzie smiled again.
"fineeee," lauren gave up as kenzie waved goodbye, heading out the door to maddie's room.
mackenzie dropped herself on maddie's bed and sighed, her arms and legs spread out. she just stared at the ceiling.
