Chapter 8 - Boys night

It was finally Friday, Adi, Jojo, Cenna and I were walking to Jojo's house from school. Jojo and Cenna were holding hands and having a conversation together (they recently came out to us) while Adi and I was walking in awkward silence.

"So..." I awkwardly said trying to start a conversation.

"So, how was David the other day?" He asked. I smiled slightly at the mention on David's name,

"He's good." I replied simply.

"And how are you?" He asked me.

"I'm good, great even!" I sighed truthfully, "What about you? How are you and that girl you've been dating?"                                                                                                                              "Yeah I'm good. We've been on another date since we argued, I really like her. She's a really sweet person, I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend on our next date on Sunday, you should meet her, I'm sure you two will get along well, she's a lot like you." It hurt knowing that Adi and that girl got on really well but I had David and I am honestly happy with him and I'm happy for Adi.

"Yeah I would love to meet her, what's her name?"

"Kelly." Ugh my ex was called Kelly.

"That's a nice name." Before Adi could reply Jojo spoke up,

"So who wants a drink?" He asked holding up cans of beer.

"How did you get beer? We're underage." I asked.

"Nick babe, don't ask just drink." He replied and I cringed at the word babe but I still grabbed the can and took a sip. Adi and I went to the basement while Jojo and Cenna went to get some snacks.

"So on Sunday after mine and Kelly's date do you want to come round to my place to meet her, well if she says yes to being my girlfriend?" He asked. I was going to agree but then I remembered I had a date of my own to attend,

"I'm sorry but I'm busy on Sunday." I replied actually telling the truth for once.

"Oh, what are you doing?" He asked.

"I've got a date of my own." I said smugly. Before Adi could ask who Cenna and Jojo came towards us,

"We ordered some pizza!" Cenna giggled sitting down in between Adi and I which Jojo wasn't very happy about but sat the other side of me, we were sat in a circle, food and our beer in the middle.

"Let's play truth or dare." Jojo suggested and I scoffed,

"Really Jojo, are we 5?" I joked; Jojo just stuck his tongue out.

"I'll go first!" Jojo shouted,

"Cenna babe, Truth or Dare." I rolled my eyes at the fact that he chose his 'babe'.

"Truth!" Cenna said nervously.

"How long have you like me?" Jojo asked him smiling.

"Since the day I met you." Cenna said and blushed as we all awed and Jojo kissed him.

"Adi, Truth or Dare?" Cenna asked Adi.

"Dare bro?" Adi replied loudly.

"Make out with your hand for 1 minute." Cenna simply replied, so Adi did and like on Freetime I was trying not to get hard and I think Jojo noticed because he kept smirked at me. When Adi finished he looked at me and smirked,

"Nickolas Truth or Dare." I glared at him then replied,

"Truth." Then I saw Adi smile even wider, shoot, "I mean dare." I said quickly.

"Too late. Who's the lucky girl you're going on a date with." I frowned. Jojo and Cenna looked shocked.

"Um, it's a boy." I said quietly but just enough for them to hear. A knock came from upstairs Jojo and Cenna jumped up,

"That will be pizza we go get it." They shouted as they were halfway up the stairs. They both knew I was Bisexual but Adi didn't,

"A boy huh? You're gay? Anyone I know?" He asked.

"Bi actually and yes you know him."

"Who?" I didn't reply,

"Its David isn't it. That's why you didn't call the other night because you were with him, wasn't it?" He replied and I nodded. "Why didn't you tell me? Do you not trust me?" I looked up at him, tears threatening to fall,

"I thought you wouldn't accept me." I sighed.

"You're my best friend. I will always accept you, always." He said reassuringly while wiping the tears that had falling down my face. I hugged him tight as he hugged back just as tight. Jojo and Cenna came back in both smiling softly,

"We got pizza." Cenna said and I laughed and looked at Adi, he looked at me and smiled back.

Wespent the rest of the night joking around. It was something I had missed, all of us together and having fun.
