"Congrats bro!" I said to Adi over the phone as normal as I could. He had a date, I was not happy. I felt like crying, silly, I know but I love Adi. "Are you alright bro?" Bro, a three letter word that reminded me that Adi and I will never be more then friends. "Yeah of course I am" I muttered, "I'll talk to you later." I then hung up before he could say anything else.
After the phone call I spent most of the day in my sweats, binge watching my favorite show, Friends. Halfway through the Season One episode four episode I heard a knock on my front door. "Uhhhhh!" I yelled slowly making my way to the front door, "What?" I huffed then I noticed who it was, "Bro, you look a mess!" Jojo looked at me concerned but disgusted. "What do you want?" I asked again. "I wanted to hang out with my best friend since Cenna and I are not talking and Adi's setting up his 'date'" I stiffened at the mention of Adi's name. Jojo unfortunately noticed, "What have you and Adi had an argument? What's wrong?" "No it's nothing." Jojo frowned, "Tell me!" He whispered sternly. "I like Adi OK! Well actually I'm in love with him and I hate that he has a date with someone." Jojo stood in silence for a second then he smiled, "I knew it!" He giggled, "What? Am I that obvious?" I asked worriedly. "No. I'm your best mate other then Adi and Cenna..." He paused smiling fondly of the mention of Cenna, "I know when you like someone bro!"
Jojo and I hung out for the rest of the day. At 7 o'clock he left. At quarter past 7 I heard another knock on my door. "What did you leave Jojo?" I laughed assuming it was Jojo. It wasn't. It was the person I didn't want to see, Adi. "Sorry, I thought you were Jojo." I explained. "Figured." Adi chuckled. "So what are you doing here?" I asked letting Adi in. "You were acting strange over the phone this morning so I wanted to check if you were OK, are you?" I smiled at how concerned he was. "I'm fine. I'm just not a morning person." I assured him but he didn't sound convinced. "Nick please tell me what's bothering you. Is it me? What have I done?" He begged. "No it's not you! It's nothing." I paused, "So tell me about your date." He smiled, "It was amazing." "Good." I sighed. I knew I had to move on now but how?
