Jake p.o.v.

It was just Dirk and I now. I had so many questions in my mind but only one came out of my mouth.

"Why me?"

Dirk just smiled and went over to where I was but he loomed over me and caressed my face with his hand.

"I knew it had to be you. That day when i went to the surface, it was my first time on land. We danced and I was able to get to know you better. You were so different than everyone else." His hand made it to mine and he pulled it up and kissed it.

"I regretted not marking you that day because I knew you were the one for me but how was I supposed to say, 'oh yeah im also this mermaid prince.'" He rolled his eyes.

"Is that why that day when I got home I had the mark?"

He just nodded his head and rubbed the back of his neck.

"When I told my older brother I wanted to marry someone from the  surface he arranged the marriage."

"But to my sister?"

"Yeah, my brother told him I wanted to marry you but your already engaged to marry the Peixes. Which is bad news for us."

"Bad news?"

"Yeah, they want to take over our kingdom by using dark magic and force."

"So you ended up becoming a suitor for my sister?" At least I know he actually liked me instead of Jane...

"Not exactly my pick, shes a nice person and everything but she isn't you."

I pulled him in and kissed his cheek,
"Dirk I- "

"JOHNS BEEN KIDNAPPED!!" Dave came busting through the door with guards behind him holding a shell.

"What?! By who!!" I got up and went toward Dave he handed me the shell and I put it to my ear.

"This merman could be worth a lot or should I say Human? We need the money in an hour or he will not survive. Isnt that right John Egbert?"  The voice said I held it tightly when I head Johns voice,
"D-Don't do it...-"
"Leave it by the coral reef and John will also be there but the thing is how long can he breath underwater?" The shell was quiet and I looked over at Dirk.

"The voice... Dirk its the people who took me!!" The voice was familiar but how did they take John?

"They have to be in the same place as before...Dirk you knew where I was, they have to be there."

Dirk nodded his head and he lead the way, we made it to a small cavers where there was an opening Dirk went in first and told the guards to wait. We swam for a while until we made it to the same place as before.

"John John where are you!!" I pulled myself out of the water then I turned back into a human. 

But when I looked around John was no where to be seen... 

John P.o.v.

"Hey John! John!!" 

I held my head for some reason it hurt so much but why am I in my room? 
"Feferi what are you doing here!?" I was startled and jumped up a bit when I saw how close she was to me, instead she gave me a reassuring smile,

"You were at the park with Jade and Dave when you got hit in the head with a soccer ball so I told my guards to help bring you here." 

Dave and Jade?Oh yeah today was the day they went on their date thingy. Then everything hit me, that sea castle and us turning into mermaids and me getting captured!! 

"Thanks for everything Feferi but I have to go find Dave!" I stood up and the tattoo on my arm was glowing, she noticed it too and her smile disappeared.

"Sorry John but..." Her guards came in and grabbed my arms putting them behind my back.

"Now Now Jonathan leaving so soon?" Feferi's mom walked into the room with a smile then everything turned black.
