John P.O.V

Once we made it the ocean Dirk, Dave,Roxy, Rose, and Kanaya quickly jumped into the water tired and desperate for sea water once again. Rose came over and handed both Jake and I a piece of seaweed which we ate and jumped into the water. Jake held onto Dirk and I held onto Dave so we wouldnt get seperated. We made it to castle enterance gates where all of the merpeople were cheering and celebrating. They continued to stare at both me and Jake since we didnt have any tails but just our feet.

Roxy came over and had a guard give her a bag of potions that she gave to the both of us to drink which gave us each a tail. We swam over to the castle while Dave was holding my hand and leading the way with Dirk.

"Green really matches you better Jake!" Jake looked over to Roxy as she was patting his new tail.

"Thank you Roxy! Still some getting used to but it is such an amazing feeling being under water!" And to think you were all here the whole time."

Jake P.O.V
I was chatting with Roxy as she kept saying how much she loved the color of my tail and I could see that Dirk was getting upset.

"Alright hands off Rox." Dirk said as he swatted her hand away.

I began to wonder why the two Kings asked that John and I come as well but once we made it to the entrance of the throne room I saw that they were just sitting calmly.

"You called?" Dirk spoke. He bowed his head and so did everyone else. I looked at John and seeing that he had the same confused expression we just followed what the others did.

"You two were able to put a stop to the Empress."

"And for that, we have made a decision."

Both of the Kings looked at one another and smiled. They swam in front of Dirk and Dave, taking off their crowns and placing them on top of their heads.

"No fucking way." Dave said as he touched the crown on his head. John laughed lightly and I looked over at Dirk who had a blank stare but after turning over to me smiled.

"Long live the new rulers." The kings spoke at the same time. I clapped my hands loudly and soon the others joined in.

Dirk smiled as he stared at me and just pulled him toward me and kissed him. Finally everything would be better.

5 months later~

"Man this sucks." Dirk spoke. We were at the shore where we first met and I had my lower body in the water and Dirk was laying next to me.

"What does? Aren't you happy as King?"

"Yeah and Dave's gonna be pissed once he finds out I snuck out."

I laughed and kissed his cheek.
"Say hi to him for me, John won't admit it but he also misses him."

"How have you guys been? Here on land I mean?"

"The usual, Jane's been busy since she is the new owner of the home and Jade is still the same."

We continued chatting on the shore as we watched the sun set. He held my hand in his and I leaned forward as he planted a kiss on my lips.

"I love you."
