Question: who tried to hit on Ashton at the party

Hi guys sorry I haven't updated in a few days I've been working on other stuff that you should check out like Band Camp (lashton) and Window to Window (muke)

Even though I'm doing the sugar lips one shots I still feel like I shouldn't have ended it so soon, even if I had ran out of ideas. Sigh. I miss it.

Michael's POV

Calum didn't seem to happy when I started talking to Amber. I don't know why, he suggested that I date her. I know he was being sarcastic because 78% of his body is made up of sarcasm, but I like Amber.

We started texting after her shift was over and I'd dropped Calum off at his house. She was funny but we really didn't have that much in common. She's into literature and reading and I don't think I've ever actually finished a book.

Opposites attract though, right?

From: Amber

Favorite show?

From: Me

The Walking Dead or Game Of Thrones. Favorite band?

From: Amber

I haven't seen either of those. Um, probably McFly.

"At least she has good taste in music." I mumbled to myself.

That's how my night went, we texted and got to know each other a bit. She really likes aquariums and thinks kittens are the best animals to ever exist.

The next morning I woke up and went through my usual morning routine of calling Jenks to wake him up (he says I'm better than any alarm clock), showering, and eating whatever my mom has made for breakfast. By the time I'm climbing in my truck my phone begins to ring and calum's name appears.

"Hey, buddy." I greet.

"Can you drive me to school?" He asked, he sounded worried.

"Yeah, what's wrong with your car though?" I asked starting the ignition.

"I don't even know. It's just so old." He sighed.

"Well, don't worry man. I'll be there in a few minutes."

"Okay." We hung up and I turned on the radio. The drive to Calum's house was quick, I was there in ten minutes.

When I pulled into the driveway he was standing beside the open hood and just staring at the motor. "Do you know how to fix it?" I asked once I rolled my window down.

"No." He shook his head, still staring at all the stuff under the hood.

"Do you know what's wrong with it?"

"No." He shook his head again.

"Well get in, i'll check it out after school." I said rolling my window back up.

He slammed the hood shut and grabbed his book bag from inside the car before climbing in the passenger seat of my truck. I greeted him with a smile and he gave me a tired look.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I backed out the driveway.

"I can't think of anything that's right." He shrugged.

"What do you mean?" I frowned.

"Nothing, just forget it." He shook his head and looked down.

"Okay." I said quietly staring at the road ahead with a frown on my face. I didn't want to push him to tell me but I did want to know, I mean we've gotten to be pretty close friends over the past few weeks.

We pulled up in the schools parking lot and Calum jumped out immediately. "Hey, cal wait." He turned and looked at me as I climbed out of the truck. "Do you need a ride home after school?"

He shrugged and turned to go inside. Maybe Ashton'll know what's up.

By the time lunch rolled around I was itching to see Calum. I was really hoping he was in a better mood than he was this morning, but when I approached our usual table and sat down I was met with Ashton trying to get him to talk.

"Calum, what is wrong with you my friend?" Ashton asked as he reached across the table and squeezed and poked and mashed on the boys face. "You're not being Calum-Like. You haven't said one smart remark yet and I haven't seen you pull out a comic book all day."

Calum just shrugged and pushed Ashton's hands off his face. "Don't touch me,I don't know where your hands have been."

"Alright, I'm getting something now." Ashton smiled. "You've smarted off at me now pull out a comic."

Calum poked at the food on his plate and sighed, "I forgot to bring one."

There was a gasp. it was Ashton.

"You poor thing, no wonder you're in such a shitty mood you've had to actually deal with people today instead of drowning in a fictional world."

Luke and Jenks appeared and sat down, Luke beside Ashton and Jenks at the end of the table.

"My car also wouldn't crank this morning." The black haired boy shrugged. "And I got in a fight with Jeremy last night."

"Girl, spill." Jenks said propping his elbow on the table.

Calum shook his head, "It's stupid, really. Andrea called my house while I was out with Michael yesterday and invited him to some bonfire this weekend. I told him not to go because he could get stds and get drunk and he pitched a bitch fit. Said I killed his vibes."

"You can't go around killing kids vibes." Jenks said. Everyone ignored him.

"Well, we're all going this weekend, right?" I asked looking around the table. Ashton was hesitant to nod but looked at Luke who nodded. Jenks of course was going, no need to even question him. "We'll all be there to make sure he doesn't get in any trouble. No worries, cal."

He smiled weakly as I wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Now, let's go get you a graphic novel of some sort from the library."
