Calum's POV
I am the definition of a dumbass.
I don't know what came over me, but with how close he was to me and how hot he looked pissed off I couldn't help myself.
I locked myself in my room all weekend and lived off the supply of fruit rollups I kept under my bed. No way in hell I was gonna go out and see anybody after what i'd done.
I'm sure by now Michael's told Luke and Jenks. Ashton of course probably heard it from Luke. He's probably tried to call me a few times, I wouldn't know. I turned my phone off and shoved it under my mattress after I escaped Jeremy's taunting when I kissed Michael.
"I ordered you a fifteen inch dildo off eBay, it'll be here next week."
"Jeremy, I will slit your throat and sprinkle your blood on the alter when I sacrifice your virgin soul to Satan for fame and fortune. Shut the fuck up."
He started cackling in the passenger seat and literally slapped his fucking knee.
I groaned and turned into the school parking lot. I'd been dreading Monday since Saturday night when I mistakingly kissed Michael.
I tried to stay home but apparently "I feel like dog turds" isn't a valid excuse to miss school, according to my mum.
"See you at lunch?" Jeremy asked walking around my car.
"You haven't seen me anywhere." I said, slipping on sunglasses and pulling the hood of my jacket up.
"I'm adopted, I just happen to look a lot like you." Jeremy mumbled. "We're not related."
"Yes we are." I said, veering away from him and heading into the school.
I ducked in the hallway, trying not to draw attention to myself in case I saw Michael, Luke, or Ashton. Without seeing any of them I successfully made it to my first class and sat in the back.
I don't know what I'm actually doing, I can't avoid my friends forever.
-
Maybe I can avoid my friends forever, I haven't seen any of them all day. We have no classes together and at lunch I decided to go to the library.
When I walked in I didn't bother scanning the area, Ashton hates the library because the librarians shush him all the time, Michael's too loud for such a quiet place, and Luke goes where Ashton goes. Jenks is a free spirit.
Amber was sitting at her usual table and doing homework. I made my way over and sat across from her, slipping off my sunglasses. My eyes squinted from the bright overhead lights. I guess wearing sunglasses inside all day not only makes me look like douche, but makes me sensitive to light.
"Hi, Calum." She said, still working on her homework. "Why are you were you wearing sunglasses inside?"
"I'm hiding from Michael."
"Why?"
"Reasons I'd rather not talk about." I mumbled, reaching in my bag and pulling out a comic.
She nodded and went back to doing her homework. After a few minutes of silence between us both as she done her thing and I read we heard the door open.
"Calum, it's Michael." She whispered.
"Oh god." I groaned, slumping down and sliding under the table, biting my lip to keep from crying out from the hard wooden chair scraping my back. "I was never here." I whispered.
"Hi, Amber." Michael pulled out the chair I was just sitting in and sat down. He nearly kneed me in the face.
"Hey." She nervously responded.
"Have you seen Calum around?" he asked.
"Ye-ow no no, haven't seen him." I pinched her leg.
"S'weird. He hasn't answered any of my texts of calls and I haven't seen him all day."
"Yeah, weird."
"Hey are you reading Spider-Man?" Shit I left my book up there.
"No." I pinched her leg again. "Ow, yes! Yes I am reading spider guy!"
"Dumbass." I quickly slapped my hand over my mouth when I realized I said that out loud.
"Calum?" son of a whore. "Calum why are you under the table?" Michael leaned down, looking at me.
"I dropped something." I gulped.
"What?" he asked
"I don't know." I blinked.
"Well, get out from under there. I haven't heard from you in a few days." He smiled.
I nodded and crawled out from under the table. Is he gonna say something about the kiss, is he just brushing it off?
"So, hi." I cleared my throat, taking a seat by Amber.
She was just sitting there, glancing between me and Michael with wide eyes. Poor confused girl.
"I was gonna see if you wanted to go to the movies with me tomorrow night, the new TMNT movie is playing." Michael rested his elbows on the table.
"Uh, sure."
"Great," he smiled. "Why haven't you been answering your phone?"
"It uh exploded."
Idiot.
"Calum."
"My charger did, I cant charge it. It's dead. Exploded charger."
Nice save, I wish I would explode right now.
"Oh, well I'm gonna go." He nodded. He pushed his chair in and left me and Amber sitting at the table.
"Hey, Amber."
"Yeah, Calum?"
"You know that pencil you got laying on your math book there,"
"Mhm."
"I want you to pick it up and shove it through my neck."
"I can't do that Calum, I'm not homicidal."
"Dammit."
-
Filler I guess idk
I didn't mean to pity you guys into not hating amber, her social anxiety was just an excuse for her to leave the party with Calum and make him realize she's not a bitch.
