TwoMin Bromance

Ever since you danced with Taemin on that TV show to promote his single, you've been getting backlash from your own fans as well as Taemin's fanbase. People still think you two might be dating, which is an entire lie, and they don't like it. Some complain that you're too immature for his taste and that you'll ruin his image. It's no doubt your darker complexion and the fact you weren't born in Korea is another reason for people to detest the thought of you ever being in a relationship with one of the nation's most famed and loved idols.

Since it was pretty much the new year, you expected to feel only warmth and love during this time; but it was too good to be true. You were nestled in the corner of the dressing room, scrolling through social media as your group was waiting to go on. Usually, you used twitter and instagram to clear your head, but seeing the hateful comments about you on your group's page gave you a sudden headache. And of course,  they had to bring Jimin into it.

Things were still awkward between you two since the whole meeting of his girlfriend situation. But to add to the drama, fans were arguing about which ship is the best: TwoMin (Jimin and Taemin) or TaeLo (you and Taemin).

Your eyes scanned over thousands of comments about how bromances were much more "shippable", and how he and Jimin were better dancers compared to you, and how they looked more attractive together, and how they were generally closer friends than you. There's no way you could beat their long-term friendship when you just started hanging out with your sunbae a few months ago. The fans were right. Even the MC's agreed that TwoMin's chemistry couldn't be beat.

You sighed to yourself while watching them be smiley on TV. Jimin even said how he'd wanted to collab with Taemin for a while now -- but somehow you didn't believe he ever thought about that collaboration until he saw you and Taemin's dance. Jimin couldn't fool you. He gets jealous whenever the attention is not on him.  He had been posting a lot more photos of him and Taemin on social media, pleasing the fans and somehow making it seem like their bromance was stronger than ever. You noticed even at recent award shows and music shows how Jimin would always be all up on Taemin, hugging him and giggling about God knows what. He always had to be the center of attention, and you hated that about him. Maybe he thought he was doing you a favor by distracting the haters and giving them something else to talk about, but you weren't that dumb. And you didn't need his saving. You could stand up for yourself, even if it took a little longer than others.

"What are you doing?" Hobi's abrupt presence beside you startled you from your thoughts.

"Whoa- I was... just watching the TV," You replied while putting your phone on sleep mode and burying it between your thighs. You cross your arms and eye him stiffly.

Hobi catches this action and chuckles, eyeing you curiously. "Did I interrupt something?" He turns his body towards you.

"Nope. Just scrolling through twitter..."

By the look in Hobi's eye you know he isn't buying it, but proceeds to change the subject. "Mm. Did you see Jiminie just now, with Taemin hyungnim?"

You nod and force a grin, watching your orange-haired bro light up.

"He told Jiminie to open his eyes during their performance," Hobi laughs but you don't give him a response. "Isn't that funny?"

"Not really," you say, watching his reaction as you rest your head against the wall. Hobi frowns and rests his arm on the back of your shared seat, tapping your shoulder with his finger.

"What's wrong?"

"The usual. Fans hate me and Jimin's getting all the attention," you flat-out state in a quieter voice.

"Yah, seriously? Fans don't hate you and.. don't start with Jimin," Hobi replies. You've already told him your feelings about the whole TwoMin collaboration and he knows your most recent distaste for your band member for a variety of reasons.

"They still think we're dating and sending hate 24/7," you complain, referring to Taemin. "And since the whole TwoMin performance is happening, everyone is treating Jimin like a god."

"Don't be that way, ok? Firstly, we all get hate; there's always something people will say about us but that's why we stay away from that stuff and focus on the positive which is what you need to do."

You roll your eyes and look away, pouting like a child.

"Second, things are weird between you and Jimin but you gotta let it go, especially tonight. He's extra pressured tonight with his opening performance plus the TwoMin thing on top of BTS' performance. Tonight is kinda about him and we need to support him," Hobi explains. You can feel his teacher-like gaze piercing your skin.

"Sure... let's focus on him as always," you retort while picking up your phone.

"Hey, your attitude isn't cute at all. You need to stop acting like a jealous baby and suck it up," Hobi spits while calmly rising to his feet and walking away.

Your pride is bruised but you continue sulking.
