14. A Young Pirate needs a Cheer Up

You're My Youngest Male Crew Member ( & still a teen, about 17-year-old ) who joined My Happy Crew last week. And today we Threw a Welcome Party for You - Everything is Ready, My Whole Crew is in Party Moods... - but we can't find You. So they ask me 'Where is he, Captain? - He Must be Here... - The Whole Party is For Him!'. I answer 'Don't worry, Me Hearties - I'll find him in a moment' & I go to look for you.

And a few minutes later I find you - You're sitting alone in Your Room & looking Sad... - So I ask you 'What Happened? - Why haven't you joined the Party?... - Everyone is Waiting for You! :) '. But you still look Sad & answer 'I'm Sorry, Captain... - I think I'm not in a Party Mood right now...' so I sit next to you & ask you 'Tell me what's wrong - & You'll feel better... - You can tell me Everything'. I make a worried face & ask you 'I hope you're not ill?' & You answer 'No... not ill... - Rather 'homesick'... ' & make a sad face again. So I ask you 'Poor boy! - You miss your home?' & you just nod still not looking any happier & answer 'I've never been So Far from My Family before'!

I look at you in a Compassionate way & answer 'I understand' - so you look at me Surprised & ask 'Really?' - & I answer 'Of Course! - Cause Everyone in My Crew Felt like that when they Joined... - but I Have My Ways to Cheer them Up! :) '. You ask me 'What ways?' & I answer 'Talking to them & understanding... - & This! :) ' & slightly tickle Your Ribs with my Feathers. It makes you Smile so I smile back & say 'See? :) - You're Already Smiling!... - It Always works! :) ' & tickle Your Tummy.

You start Laughing & look Happier so I keep Tickling for a Few Minutes. And when I finish - I ask You 'Do you Feel Better Now? :) '. You answer 'Yes :) ... - Thank you, Captain'. I answer 'You're welcome!' & smile at you & you smile back & say 'I'm Glad that I chose This Ship - because Some Other Pirate Captain would probably Shout at Me - or Laugh at Me now - Instead of being So Compassionate & trying to cheer me up'.

I answer 'I'm also Glad that You are Here - We All Are Glad! :) ... - Because My Friendly Pirate Crew is like 'One Big Family' :) ... - We Support each other & Treat each other Well... - & I Care about Each of Them! :) '. You smile at me & Say 'I noticed that!' so I tell you 'I haven't told you that before - but Our Today's Party is YOUR WELCOME PARTY!'. You smile at me & ask '... My Welcome Party?'. I answer 'Yes! :) ' & you smile wider & say 'Sounds Great! :) ... - I've never had a Welcome Party before'! - so I tell you 'And That's why You Can't Miss It! :) ... - So will you come with me & Join Your Party now? :) '. You get up happily & answer 'I Will ! :) ' - so we both go to the deck & join Your Party.
