mat_edwards: Once again I find myself having to defend myself on social media over something a magazine wrote.
One of the things I spent most time talking about during the interview was politics and female empowerment. The part were I mentioned my friendship with my good friend Taylor, it was ruled over as a group of women who spend their time gossiping, trashing other people and pretend that nothing outside their group matters to them. That is a lie.
Then, I mentioned that women needed to create an uproar. They wrote about my partnership with Pantene and completely ignored all the rest.
Somehow, reading the words they wrote, I felt conceited and pretentious. That was not what I meant at all. I remembered distinctively countering those statements with other words that did not make the final cut.
Also, when I was talking "about the men in my life", I very much remember talking about about my father, my brothers and my grandfathers and the impact they had in my life. Then, I was asked about Chris Evans. I answered the questions and asked for them not feature them. It's incredible what people do to get more readers.
From now on, interviewers must know that I will not answer any more questions regarding my love life.
Any way, it was a pleasure to be featured on the cover of the magazine.
