she watches as the tea bag floats around her mug. a ringed finger circles the rim of said mug, sighing as she stops to stare at the door for what seems like the hundredth time.
this had been what at the time had seemed like a good decision. but now, twenty minutes after she was supposed to be putting something behind her back, she was still sitting all by herself, nervously watching tea brew in front of her.
this wasn't how it was supposed to go. she was never supposed to be this nervous going into this. but at the end it was.
at the end, there wasn't much she could do. all she wanted was to be able to move on without all the remorse that had been eating her up for the past ten months.
it was there all the time. it had been there while she wrote the album, while the went to bed and even when she did something as simple as preparing her coffee.
she wanted to do good. she wanted to be rightfully perceived as good. and right now, and at a point where all eyes were on her for all the supposedly wrong reasons, she felt as though she was letting everyone down by not letting go.
and so this had come to be. her, nervously looking around inside the very same café at the santa monica mountains where she'd get her croissants from every morning for what felt like an eternity.
(edna, the lady who used to take her order, looked so shocked to see her, that it took her a good five minutes to approach her)
she takes a sip of her tea. and another. and another. and continues to do so until her mug is empty and it's been an hour of her sitting all by herself, waiting for someone who was not coming.
she don't bother to dwell on it. she doesn't bother thinking about this all meant. she had gone through with her attempt at making things right. the remorse is still there, but beneath it, is a feeling of defeat.
she doesn't feel better but knows what after this she might.

MATILDA EDWARDS PUTS HER CALABASAS MANSION FOR SALE
It seems that the singer is finally taking the lead of friends Harry Styles and Taylor Swift, who after years of living at the City of Angels chose to permanently move out.
The mansion is for sale for little below 7 million dollars, but according to our sources, Edwards wants to get rid of it. And fast.

In the meantime, it is not as thought the actress has no place to crash. Other than the Calabasas mansion, the actress is also the owner of a Penthouse apartment in a Greenwich Village in New York and yet another mansion in Hampstead, London - right next to bff Harry Styles and just down the street from former lover Niall Horan.
