MATILDA EDWARDS TO TAKE TIME FROM SPOTLIGHTS

The 27-year-old actor and singer announced the sudden retreat in the form of an Instagram post only an hour ago.

Following a fresh breakup with Marvel Actor Chris Evans (37) only three months ago, Matilda Edwards has been recently mostly hidden, if only for her promotion of her song with One Direction's Zayn Malik.

Currently receiving backlash from rumors of a potential relationship with fellow One Direction member Niall Horan, which Matilda denied, fans are speculating that perhaps it was not only her creative process that had put his retreat into place.

We can all agree, however, that one good thing is coming out of this: Matilda teased new songs in a nearby future and fans are already expecting an inside look on her past relationship, seeing as Edwards is not a stranger to writing songs about former lovers. 

Meanwhile, and according to sources close to Matilda, her focus is "on her music, above everything else. She wants to produce and release the best possible album, especially since she benched Revival, which was meant to be released in the next three months."

That same source also added that Matilda is feeling very supported by her closed friends, balancing her time between Los Angeles, New York (for the shooting of the new remake of Wizards of Waverly Place) and London, making use of the "sudden burst of inspiration that propelled the album's new direction". 

Now we can only hope that the new music won't take long.
